    Why not just sell your mustang and keep your LS1 since they are so superior to a "COBRA". I will give you this, ford has to overcome the displacement issue but when u compare apples to apples the mustang is superior in many ways by far!

    Ive had both. Much more power, fuel economy and driveability with the 4v. But if your wanting a race car on a budget 5.0 is the way to go everything is cheaper. I love racing my fox body, and the 20+ mpg my cobra gets as a daily driver.

    1999 Cobra plugs

    I work at advance auto parts and I just put the NGK Iridium Tr55 plugs in my 99 cobra and they work great! And yes they are different than 03 04 cobra plugs just go to advance and get them for a 99 for about $6.96 ea.

    351w 427 stroker here?

    I have stroked a 351w to a 427. It is easer than most people think, I just bought a kit from mustang depo. You dont have to even clearence more than a 392 stroker. my motor is built but not in the car yet. Mustang depo said with decent heads and trans it should put down 550hp to the ground.:nice:

    Ok I have a buddy with a trans am and one with a camaro. They sent me a message this morning that said MUSTANG = Must Use Supercharger or Turbo Against N/a Gm! We can not have this, so if anyone can think of any comebacks please post them! :mad:

    Screw that my cobra is not a "race car" it is my daily driver that i get out and have fun with. I just hate the wheel hop and it will take a little money to stop. If this were a race car I would swap in the SRA.

    I have never seen anything like that but give it some time and you will get used to the 5-speed.

    Bill Sheffer and Doug Campbell built mine! It is also the same 2 people that built the motor in my 98 cobra that I sold 4 yrs ago.

    I do have a set of slicks left over from my 04 GT but I think ill just put drag radials on my cobra.
