Tire wheel combo on a 67 mustang?? Opinions?

@17*8/5.25 bs, the rear wheels will be inset by half an inch relative to the fronts, right? (if the axles are inline, I suppose) With the increase in the backspace on the rear, I would go with a wider wheel as long as it does not exceed outer limitations...17*9 or so... If you want the same...

Trying to change an fmx to c-4

The early 289's had a different bellhousing pattern (5 bolts instead of 6 I thought but there was a different bolt pattern even if it was 6), thus the bolt up problem... the FMX usually only had the 164 tooth flywheel .... c4's sometimes came with this or the smaller 157 tooth flywheel, thus the...

    Where to buy engines?

The engine commonly referred to as a 'semi-hemi' was a Boss 429.... while close in cid to the 427/428, it was a completely different design. The Boss is one of the most sought after. If your after just power, then THX is right in that there are many options including strokers.

    Where to buy engines?

they're pretty rare... what year mustang? does he want originality or performance?

    Where to buy engines?

no, the sohc was a 427, the 'cammer'... the 427's seem to be very desirable engines and are thus reproduced (Unique, Dove, and Shelby i think do/redo them) i don't know of anyone that produces/sells 428's outright.... especially not w/cj heads... i think you will have to find someone who is...

    Would a 351c be a direct swap?

The only thing you would have to consider is accessories....get the brackets for the 'c'.... as Opentracker said, motor mounts and tranny will bolt up. If an FE fit in there, then I'm sure the 'c' will. You might want to qualify your question with regard to converting to a 4v, as nds03 said...

    351 W in 67

You should be able to use the heads, motor mounts, and flywheel. I think you'll need to change the distributor and intake (as you said).... I am not sure on the balancer or even the front cover (is it different w/the deck height being different?). You may need different bracketry for the...
