    87/89/93 Octane

Has anyone here actually TRIED running a stock 05 on 93? I know it's hard to judge seat-of-the-pants with so many variables involved...

    Ford Racing Power Packs

Called Ford Racing. They confirmed that the new 2005 Power/Drag kits **CAN** void your engine/powertrain warranty, and that Ford does not differentiate between these kits and any aftermarket parts/tune. The customer support rep agreed that bottom line, it's the dealership's call when you go...

    Ford Racing Power Packs

The only reason I'd be more interested in the Ford pack is IF it didn't void your warranty. Otherwise, I'd definitely go with a custom tune. There's a customer support line at the Ford Racing web site. When I get a chance, I'm going to call and see what they have to say about warranty...

    87/89/93 Octane

Yeah. With the new Ford Power Pack, I wonder how much of that advertised 20 HP at the wheels comes just from the retune for 93 octane, rather than having much to do with the new intake and exhaust. For those who have retuned to run at 93, did you notice significant seat-of-the-pants (or...

    87/89/93 Octane

I've been running on 87 octane in my GT, no problems. Now, the manual says 87 is recommended. The dealership says you'll notice no difference regardless of what octane you run, with a stock tune. On some of the forums, though, I've seen claims all over the place on this. Some say there's...

    Ford Racing Power Packs

I'm really looking forward to someone posting their results of a Power Pack install, especially if they dyno. I'm interested in the kit, but man, that would hurt if you had a Ford dealership do the install and it still voided your factory warranty...

Re-Post, Please: Exhaust Shootout, Part 1

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=29901&st=0 Hope it's cool to link to another forum here. Some interesting comments...Bottom line appears to be that axle-backs do make some SMALL gains in peak (and probably average) hp/tq after the computer is given some time to adjust for...

Bump, anyone remember this? Crap, maybe it was a different forum.

    Pics

Beauty! That color really pops in broad daylight. Have you considered the wide-style white stripes down the center of the car, either vinyl or paint? Love the way those look on blue.

    What is more ghetto?

By the way, Martimus, do you have pics of the e-brake boot or a link to a web site with pics? I have the dark charcoal interior also. How does the boot match up?

    What is more ghetto?

Talk about bashing! I ask a simple question and in no way criticize the V6 (which I think is a great car), and V6 owners freak out. As far as purchasing a Shelby or Saleen, those are in an ENTIRELY different price class. A well-equipped GT is NOT a huge step up in price from a loaded V6, at...

Some pics of my Street Scene kit/spoiler.

Great looking car. Do you have some closeup, daylight pics of the spoiler? I'm considering getting one, would like to see closer detail of how it blends with the decklid. Thanks!

Re-Post, Please: Exhaust Shootout, Part 1

Someone previously posted the horsepower/torque/dB changes from several axle-back muffler packs, as tested by MM&FF. Does anyone have that info? I can't locate it. Also, most of the changes resulted in lost average HP/torque, but gains in peak HP/torque...nothing huge either way. Wouldn't...

    What is more ghetto?

? I guess I just don't understand why you'd get a V6 to start if you're interested enough in performance to make some significant mods. Why not start with the V8 and build from there? Is it to save money up front? Or to be different? Not knocking it, just don't get it.
