    Snap... Goes the water pump bolt...

    Depending on how far in the block it is, there is a tool called and easy-out. It is basically a reverse drill bit. You use a small drill bit to get a hole for the easy-out then use a ratchet and lots of luck and elbow grease to unscrew it.

    idle scalars

    I read somewhere (yahoo group or eec tuning.org) to use 208 above your idle in/out of drive settings for the isc in/out of drive scalars. That is what I have been using. I have mine going pretty good. Cold startup it still surges but once it goes closed loop it idles right at 892.

    Man it amazes me the different sounds of pipes. What type of x is it? How many rpm's did it hit when you revved it, roughly? I just put a Pypes x on my car. It totally changed the sound of my car. Sounds nice by the way.

    Need some opinions...aluminum heads or 3.73 gears, which should I do next??

    Not sure what you're plan is but with my mods and 275/35/17 nitto drag radials I was well into 4th gear in the 1/8 mile at 85mph. Thats with 4:10's and the stock catted h-pipe. I did the gears back before I did the heads and what not. Now I may go back to 3:73's.

    update on h-pipe install

    Sounds like it went better then my Pypes X install. I had a rough time getting it all to connect correctly, kind of. It has a small leak at the header and the driverside tailpipe is hitting the underbody when it idles. I do love the sound of the X though. Louder then the stock but not as loud...
