Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

I couldn't really tell where the leak is coming from. The gas was running out from inside the tank cover so I don't think it was the filler neck grommet. Going to drop the tank tomorrow and see what it is.

Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

Well it turns out I'm ordering a new tank anyways. Went to fill it with fuel today and the damn thing started leaking all over my floor. I'm really beginning to think it doesn't want to be inspected this year. With all the money I'm spending getting it running I may not be able to get my...

I don't know about the rest of the stuff but normally they should be around 180 or so.

    New Fuel Pump

I just put in a new Walbro 255lph over the weekend. I can't see how it would hurt to put too big of one in. Unless maybe if you buy 1 for turbo as they are usually higher pressure then the standard pumps. I think the only high pressure one is a 255lph walbro pump. My car had a 190lph in it...

Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

I just got done cleaning it and replacing the pump. The tank wasn't bad at all except where the strainer sits in the tank. Used some acetone and that cleaned it pretty well.

Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

Well since they aren't far from here I may just do that. Thanks for the link. I'm going to check the old one first to see how bad it is.

Cleaning the gastank, what to use?

Well after driving less then 200 miles in 2 years my fuel pump crapped out on me. So since I will have the tank out and it has sat for awhile I figured cleaning out the tank would be a good idea. Is there and special solvents or cleaners for doing this. I don't have the tank out yet so know...

Ok well having some trans problems... T5orT56

I was looking at a T56 swap the other day. I can't remember the website it was on but they had a full T56 swap for 4k. It came with the T56 and everything needed except a clutch. Drive-shaft, tranny mounts and everything. I'll see if I can dig that website up when I get to work.

    Has anyone dealt with?

I've never been to or bought anything from CJ's. I saw the tire and wheel combo and it just seemed easier that way and it's only 14.99 for shipping on the combo. Either way now I have to figure out what is wrong with the car before I dump money into the wheels. Had it running today and...

    Has anyone dealt with?

Thanks for all the replies. Just after I posted this I saw the post about LMR and the headlight's. Needless to say got plenty of answers in that thread. I may not be ordering the wheels just yet though. After driving it less then 100 miles in the last 2 years I went to take it for a spin...

    Has anyone dealt with?

Late model restorations? I am looking to buy their bullitt wheel and tire combo and was looking for any news on them. If so how did the 315/35-17 tires fit in the back?

    Ford Carlisle 2010

Unfortunately I didn't make it out on saturday. I spent all day getting my central air fixed. This is the first year I missed it since 2000. Hope everyone had a good time despite the rain. On a side note I decided the car is fast enough for now. So I'm going to get new wheels and a paint job...

    Ford Carlisle 2010

Well I live 10 minutes from Carlisle so I will be there as always. I never entered my car in the show as its all go no show and this year will be no different as I haven't got it inspected yet. I hope to hook up with some of you sometime during the show though. Or maybe crash a hotel party...

For those of you that switched from 3.55 to 3.73 -- Was it worth it?

This probably isn't much help but here it goes. I went from 3.73 to 4.10 and OMG what a change. With the 3.73 it was a low 14 second car and dropped to a mid 13 second car with the 4.10's. Town driving was a pain due to constant shifting and at 70 MPH it turns about 3k on the tach. I then...

    consistent overheating sn95

Check the plug on your fan. There was a recall on some of these cars. Mine wasn't under the recall but it melted the fan connector and left the ground wire come out of the plug. If the plug is good(not blackened or melted) then its either the CCM(the box connected to the overflow tank) or...

little sneak peak of what i got cookin....

Man when I swapped my new motor in from the old 5.0 i was surprised. I didn't change anything in the exhaust(except the heads) and it sounded like a totally different car. It was louder and had a roar to it, love it.

    ECT Sensor Questions

Speaks the truth I watch this happen with my temp gauge. If I go to the store, when I come out the one in the back will read 200+ even though my tweecer says its 185. You can see in yellow's second pic the ECT sensor is where it's supposed to be.

    ECT Sensor Questions

If it's the same place I have mine its location. I have a aftermarket water temp gauge in that spot and it constantly reads 15-20* higher then the twEECer logs. It also takes longer for that sensor to come up to temp. On my TrickFlow intake that spot is just a dead-end, no water flows thru it.
