    Runs better when just started and engine cold

    Not really after warming it up and driving it for about a mile everything is well lubricated,motor,tranny and rear.So you can beat the h@ll out of it :nice: thats true but dont just start it up, up pull outta the driveway and hall balls. make sure its somewhere close to operating temperature.

    180 cooler is better most of the time but you do need some heat for an engine to work properly

    definitely check the little things first. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor....which its sounds like you did already. Autozone can check ur tfi module for you. Other things to check would be coil, pickup in the dizzy(cheaper than gettin a new tfi). Also i think the zone quoted me like 65 bucks on...

    It Will but you'll find you need different mouldings to match up to it....you'd need a new light assembly up front of course also.

    low-end loss w/ O/R pipe?

    Your theory is right on the money. But this loss will eventually be made up through future modifications. If you keep modding your car then you'll end up getting more power out of those mods because of the exhaust. more air in more air out. :nice:

    Port/Polish BT:

    its not gonna hurt anything to port and polish them...if its done correctly. if you plan on doing it urself you should get the lower intake port matched to the heads, and make sure your ports are as identical as possible. Definitely do it. It's much less expensive then buying new heads/intake...

    1987 Mustang Idle Speed

    I think my chilton manual says 900. But to me that was way to high. idled it down and changed the tps position and you can definitely hear the cam now.

    i had the same prob with udp. I put a charger on my battery over night and just watch the voltage very closely. I try not to idle anywhere for very long either. good luck
