    Back to the track

Yeah trying to get a good launch for me on these street tires is tuff... definitely need more time to find the sweet spot. I tried to get better 60' times each run but couldn’t break the 2.12 barrier. 60' times and 1/8 mile speed on each were... 2.13 at 81.89 2.17 at 82.62 2.12 at 83.30...

    Back to the track

Little history... ran two different times back in the month of June. Car is a daily driver and I didn’t pull any weight out. Mods so far are below on 17" factory wheels 33psi, 3:55 gear. First time 13.79 at 101.2 Second time 13.75 at 103.3 I wasn’t real impressed with the numbers and I’m...

    First 5 mods

Last three mustangs I’ve owned CAI/Tune has come farther down the line for me. I like getting a better stance, better shifting and better sound first and then move forward. First Non-performance Mods… Ford K-Springs Short Shifter Flowmasters Performance Mods… Pypes O/R H UDP...

    93.5 octane

I appreciate all the helpful info guys. I ordered Monday so it’ll be next week before it arrives... just can’t decide if I want to start with the 93 octane tune first and find out what the difference is that weekend at the track over a stock tune or start with 89 and work up to 93... either...

    93.5 octane

I can understand how you would want to avoid mixed octane… get the 87 or 89 octane out as best you can by running the tank as low as you can before upping the octane and tune. So, if I understand when you want to run a lower octane after a higher octane simply run the tank low, fill up, flash...

    GT500 wing / spoiler question

I hand wash 90% of the time myself but there are times when a quick run through the Touch Less carwash on a basic rinse setting, then a quick dry saves a lot of time. The heavy detergents and waxes I avoid $3 for a high pressure rinse and dry just removes the light dust and water spots from...

    93.5 octane

I didn’t notice it either... good eye cat. I’ve been running 89 octane so when the tuner arrives I’m loading that tune. Is running a tank of 93 octane before uploading that tune necessary? What is it the computer... does it take that long to adapt... to get the benefits of the tune? Must be...

    GT500 wing / spoiler question

I installed one last week early in the day at work… install was a breeze –thanks kooldawg great write up and nice reference pics. Call me crazy but I wanted to know just how well this tape would hold up without drilling the two outer holes on the deck lid and ran it through a touch less car...

    93.5 octane

Sorry if this has been covered already… just ordered the xcal2 from Brenspeed with the 3 standard octane tunes. I know not to run the 93 tune on 89 octane but what are your thoughts about the running the 93 tune on 93.5 octane? It’s available here and was just wondering if you would try it...

    New Spoiler Installed

After seeing several posts and pics I ordered one myself... think it'll look good being black. I noticed it suggests drilling a couple of holes for mounting... are you guys that have done this drilling or getting away without having to do that?

Power Shifting... Speed Shifting Launch the car and keep your foot in the gas. At maximum RPM just blip the clutch (Stab It) enough to SLAM the shifter into 2nd gear. Pressure on the shifter handle into second before you blip the clutch... pressure on the shifter handle before you blip the...

    little mustang update

I've been following this project and all I can say... that's one S197 that has taken a hard road and coming out the other side looking far better than it ever did. The loss - the expense - the time - the effort - the craftsmanship... It’s going to be one smooth stang! Nice job indeed... well...

    Custom painted grill done!

Nice! :nice: I'd like to do a similar custom grill myself but keep the fog's functional, recessed and hidden. Not much opportunity to see the different aftermarket pieces though... without a purchase.

3K and feels like a different car??

Nothing wrong with Motive Gears... 3.90's are a nice ratio for a DD.

Think we're gunna sell the 07 GT.......

Black paint is definitely no fun... it takes dedication that’s for sure. I’ve owned three now back to back, four total and swore after the first one... never a black one again but every time I ended up on a lot just to look there IT would be... just sitting there. Grabber Orange... well...
