Quality difference between HD-dvd and HD movies thru digital cable

I'm with ya brother. I'm also hopeful. The cable company in this area seems to be pretty pro-active at getting the latest and greatest in place since we're out here in the ding-toolies and they have to compete with Satellite TV. I'm waiting to take delivery of my new Samsung HLT5687S. It was...

Quality difference between HD-dvd and HD movies thru digital cable

I'm not sure I agree with this statement. HD-DVD appears to be doing well at present because Microsoft if dumping a TON of money into HD-DVD. The word on the street (ref: AVS Forums) is that, that may soon come to an end as Microsoft gets it's online movie distribution system up and running...

So my Capri caught fire today....

If you did, then you would know that this is a PLANNED response and NOT the helpless flailing that you think it to be. In actuality, it's a rain dance. A call to the god of percipitation to swoop down and extinguish the flames thus saving the property from peril. Such a thing can only be...

    door/ignition/tunk= locks

This thread needs to get back on track and stay on track. This is a technical forum and not a parts/store review forum. Though I understand a user wanting to caution about dealings that he/she has had, it appears that the caution issued in this thread is NOT about parts concerning the topic at...

    86 HO Cam Replacement

I 2nd replacing your cam with another 86 cam. It's probably one of the best OEM cams to ever be put in a Fox. It's a shame about the monkey business they did with the heads. I also 2nd replacing the timing chain. Mine a considerable/noticable amount of slop in it after 130,000+ miles. As...

    Baddest mustang ever?? Holy #%&!

The money, time, effort, and attention to detail that went into that car is nothing short of SPECTACULAR! It doesn't matter who's daddy's brother, sister's x-boyfrinds, house sitting, downs syndrome kid's, nurse maid's sister, has running down the track doing 8s. It take's nothing away from...

brand new 93 cobra still in wrapper.

The thing sold CHEAP! Though I realize it's a very rare find, I don't think that I could leave it alone. I'd have to install a turbo on it. That's about as far as I'd be able to go with leaving it bone stock. The turbo would only make that car what it was originally intended to be IMO.

    85-86 side mouldings

The last time I went looking for them, they had stuff for 87+ but not 85-86. I ended up buying a set from someone that was parting out a car. Soon after, I found a complete set of NOS but the dude was out of his mind. He wanted $700 and it only included the softer flexible pieces. :rlaugh...

    Throwout Bearing Issues

You may want to consider calling around for a place that can check the balance of your flywheel and clutch assembly. If that's the issue and it's that far out of whack though, you should have been able to feel at least some vibration while going down the road. Who installed your bearing...

    Throwout Bearing Issues

Hmmmm... It sounds to me like you have some other issue that causing all of these bearings to go south. How is your bearing retainer? Is it the stock aluminum piece or has it been replaced with one made of steel? As far as bearing quality goes... The OEM is your best bet. Regardless of...

What's a good store bought throw out bearing? Does one exist?

It's not to say that there aren't good aftermarket bearings out (I've not tried them all) there and it's also not to say that you won't come across an OEM lemon occasionally. What I HAVE noticed however is that the OEM pieces seem to be the MOST CONSISTENT for quality and durability.

Came across this whilst clearing off a video tape - Dyno Vid

No no no... Way too steep. If I can't do it with 3:55s and a boat load of torque then it ain't gonna happen. hehehe

Came across this whilst clearing off a video tape - Dyno Vid

500 yard burnouts is about right. LOL I've been putting off doing gears because 1st and 2nd are useless if I just push the gas all the way down. Once I get the 5 lug disk brake conversion done, beef up the rear some, and get some stickies back there, I'll reevaluate going to some 3:55s. In...

What's a good store bought throw out bearing? Does one exist?

An OEM bearing from Ford is the ONLY bearing that I've had consistent success with. Every other bearing that I've tried has been hit or miss INCLUDING the Centerforce bearing. So far as I'm concerned, NON OEM bearings are paperweights.
