    Door skin? removal

The only way to remove the skin is to cut the spot welds, fold the panel back, and replace it when done. LOTS of body work in order to fix the window regulator, imo. You should be able to get the window out of the regulator and arms, lift it out, then have access to use a crescent wrench, vice...

Where does this connect to.... PICS!

Isn't the one wire connector for the oil level sensor in the pan? I've never pulled the harness out of the car to know what the other end is hooked into, sorry I can't help you on that one. Good luck!!! :nice:

Two questions pertaining to our cooling system

I can't answer the first question for you, but the second I have some ideas. I know that the formed hoses are available individually for the heater lines, and each of the formed hoses (4 in all) comes in the heavy duty blue silicone hose kit. I've also had good luck in the past looking for...

Anybody have an exploded view of an '03 Taurus auto trans?

I'm hoping to get some idea of what the guts look like... I'm guessing I'll end up needing a new pump, but who knows. It's got the 3.0 V6 (VIN code U). If anyone has anything they could PM me, or even email, please let me know. Thanks :SNSign:!!!! Scott

These are my mods...what you think?

The block is a thinwall casting, and sometime in the 70s Ford started really cutting back on the material they left in the castings. It may cause certain areas of the cylinder wall to be thin and weak. That's why the machine shop will 'sonic check' the block, but I'm guessing most cheaper...

its time to guess my 1/4 mile time!

Without knowing how you drive your car, all I can offer is to look at my times. My car put down 265/300 a couple years ago, and the best times are pretty close to what I figure is the max. I'll get with this amt. of power. Scott

    this + this

:stupid: I will pose a question though... what diameter is that filter? The larger the filter in diameter, the more air it can flow (within a given media selection like K&N to K&N say). I've never been a fan of really tall induction systems for some reason, other than to see Predators...

Anybody used THR (Texas Hot Rods) or TRE (The Racer's Edge) Performance?

I ordered them last Sunday evening from TRE and they got here today, not bad for a cross-country shipment! So far, everything looks very good!!! Very pleased with the speed and ease of the purchase. TRE gets a :nice: from me. lol Scott

Does my clutch need to be replaced???

If it only does it when you engage the pedal, it's most likely throw-out bearing related. Just to replace that, you have to drop or at least slide the tranny back. A good amount of work, but not bad to do in your own garage with hand tools. If the input shaft bearing retainer is galled, the...

    Help with Cobra/SVO intake

This information is all correct, I wasn't trying to say any different. However on our style of manifold, this port serves to let hot exhaust gases 'brew' in the lower intake, heating up the whole manifold. Granted, the heat will transfer eventually between the heads and the lower even with the...

Anybody used THR (Texas Hot Rods) or TRE (The Racer's Edge) Performance?

I'll post back once I get the stuff from TRE. I placed the order yesterday. I had found the post about THR after searching, but couldn't find anything on TRE and thought I'd check. Members here seem to be the best review network you can find for aftermarket vendors. :SNSign: Thanks, Scott

    Help with Cobra/SVO intake

That port is just a heat riser, it's not the EGR on the 94-95 maifolds at least. It's supposed to help heat the intake and make the fuel vaporize better, aid combustion, etc... on a cold motor to reduce emissions I believe.

    Quick VC question:

They look like the tall ones to me. Not sure though. It's been about 6 months since I focused on anything other than battery cables under the hood of my 'Stang... :nonono:

What do you know about this Summit X-pipe?

I've been happy with my UPR x-pipe, it was about $165 I think, a couple years back.

Anybody used THR (Texas Hot Rods) or TRE (The Racer's Edge) Performance?

I'm looking to buy a set of MAC longtubes and both these places have them for a really close price, with free shipping. I was looking at CJ Pony Parts, but the shipping is $47!!!! Any other ideas? Thanks! Scott

    Cross pin retaining bolt

That was probably me. The bit didn't even get to one diameter of depth. It was an 1/8" left handed drill bit, and it got maybe 1/16" deep before the pin backed right out. I have my stock 28 spline Trac Loc with a rebuild kit that's maybe got 10k to 15k on it. If you have trouble, pm me and...

Gears. Can I install or should I take to pro?

I had this problem. It just snapped the head off, leaving the threaded portion with the pin attached. I used a left handed drill bit and it just backed right out. Talk about lucky. :nice: lol I did mine by myself in my garage. The most exotic tools I had were a magnetic indicator base...

rough idle, engine shake, max RPM 3000

Check every vacuum hose and fitting for cracks. That can cause a serious rough idle. Good luck! :nice:
