    The worst (for me, since I never drive my car in the winter) is when you catch a thunderstorm and it's really coming down. The temp. difference means the windows fog instantly, and without the A/C assisting to dry the air, you can't get rid of the humidity.

    They also make a product called "High Tack" that comes in a brush or spray can. It's made just for this, to put a sticky surface on the gaskets and hold them in place during assembly. Scott

    Car has no power, doesn't rev well and jumpy. Spark issue?

    For what it's worth, I did something similar with my TW heads... wrong plug that didn't get down into the cylinder. It was this way for over a year, and after swapping in the correct plugs, no difference. Not sure that you'll see any change from that, but good luck! :nice: Scott

    On a T5, that ring is bronze, not sure about the T45. You may even be able to pull the tailhousing off the tranny in the car and change it out that way, but the best bet would be to yank the whole thing out that way you can open it up and check for signs of other wear as well. Good luck! Scott

    Did you pull off the heater hoses? The two lines that run through the firewall connect to the heater core.

    What you're referring to is beyond what I'd call powershifting. I'm talking about never letting off the skinny pedal while you shift, but using the clutch. The trans would have to have a dog-ring style synchro to allow you to shift without using the clutch under power. Maybe I missed the boat...

    This is the problem with generalizations, I've been beating the tar out of my T5 since I got the car in 2000, haven't had an issue yet. If not for power shifting, my car would probably be a 13.5 ride. And not nearly as fun. :D Scott
