    silly question

What balancer are you using that's not marked? Or is it marked and the outer ring is spun? Scott

    19sec 1/4mile WTF?

Just an FYI, but a sprag is a mechanical component, a gear I believe. A diode is an electrical part. Both could apply to the AODE, as far as I know, but not sure which one was your problem.

    Rear grind while turning

Did you drain and refill the axle after you swapped it in? If so, did you add the friction modifier with the gear lube? Sounds like it could be the clutches chattering without the friction modifier. Good luck! Scott

Lots of rattling and clanking under the car

It sounds like a bad u-joint or output shaft bearing at the tail of the transmission. There should be very little movement of the driveshaft in the tail housing, and no movement at the u-joints. Scott

    95 GT heavy hesitation.

I tried looking on Actron's site for that, and it gave me the cp9015 I think... see this link... http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16153 If your scanner is for OBDII, I doubt it will work. You'll need a simple OBDI code reader. Scott

    95 GT heavy hesitation.

As far as the scanner goes, you can't use the port under the dash, the test / service port is under the hood, behind the passenger shock tower. The port under the dash is not hooked up on 94-95 5 liter cars. Scott

Are these heads any good for 414c.i.?

What are you running for your fuel setup? Pump, injectors, tune, etc...? Also, what did Ed C. grind the cam for flow-wise? That should have been what determined the head / cam combo, right? Just curious, good luck! :nice: Scott

    Question for Welding/Electrical Experts

You should be able to pull one leg of current from one circuit, and the other leg from another circuit, that should give you single phase 240V. That's how I wired my compressor in the barn. Scott

    Clutch problems

I've had this happen before, I snapped my stock cable one Friday night before we were going racing the next day. In a pinch, the only cable I could find was a Zoom adjustable. It stunk from the first time I put it in. It would stretch, and the adjuster nuts never stayed tight. I finally...

    tach places?

I made up a plate that fit in the clock recess in the dash and put it right there. It made it nice when I would run in the left lane at the drags, but kind of a pain to run in the right lane (looking the other way at the tree and hoping to hold launch rpm... lol). Just curious, how much does...

    Battery Relocation Kit Questions

Yes you do, but generally you can pop the hood without a key. I don't think it's necessary for a street car, obviously, but with the track comes certain rules that everyone has to live by in order to race. Just like wearing a helmet after breaking a certain ET.

    Battery Relocation Kit Questions

I haven't done this, but the basic circuit layout is pretty simple. The front ground is because the engine needs to be grounded to the chassis. The cutoff switch is there because the track workers want to be able to kill electrical power to the car in case there is a fire, crash, etc... with...

    Fuel Line Question, Help!

Can you post any pics of them? It sounds like either it's not locking together or you're maybe looking at the rubber jacket that goes over the outside of the lines. The braided line shouldn't move more than a 1/32" or so once it's locked in by the guard spring. The large round cages are...

Help Diagnose my low rwhp issue. Any experts?

The rocker adjustment problem is probably due to the wrong length pushrods. If it's that close, it's a wonder you don't have a lot of valvetrain noise from loose rockers. It also sounds like the total timing is a bit low. If the initial is 10* and the total is 15*, you're about 20* shy of...

    clutch cable help

My MM cable works like a dream, it's the smoothest clutch action I've ever felt! I ordered MM's cable, firewall adjuster, and a heat shield 'kit', which was just a short sleeve of heat protective tubing that clamped over the cable. If I had to do it over, I'd have left the kit off the order...

    no start again ????wtf

Sounds like it could be a ground issue then. Check the ground cables for good connection and any signs of corrosion. This is classic for most any vehicle, but seems to be really common lately here on the SN boards.
