    no start again ????wtf

Have you had the battery checked out? Sounds like you've got a constant draw in the system that could be draining it. Had this problem with a 5.0 Cougar and it was the voltage regulater in the alternator. Good luck! :nice: Scott

    Got it dynoed today

Those numbers are right what mine put down last year. I don't have a cam (other mods in sig.), and no tune. I was pretty happy with the results for my situation at least. So to me they don't look bad. :nice: Scott

Third gear is being a jerk...

Actually, I think GTA was talking about the fork wear pads (the little white nylon dudes) on the shift fork themselves. The problem with that is you have to have the tranny out and apart before you can see them. At that point, he'll have you for the cost of removal and disassembly at the...

    Need brake line help!

I don't know what to tell ya about the customer service issues, been there done that myself! :fuss: As far as the sealing issue goes, there could be something interfering with the mating surfaces of the fittings. I spent the last 10 years working for a company that made flare tooling...

    ignition box ?'s

:nice: That's exactly why. Since it alternates which cylinders do and don't fire, it prevents one cylinder from loading up on fuel. Also, since it doesn't cut fuel, there's no risk of going lean. One side note: I don't have nitrous, but apparently it's a bad idea to use a rev limiter of...

    ignition box ?'s

I've got a 6al, and unless your stock ignition is in poor condition, you won't notice much (if any) gain from installing a box. The biggest benefit for me was the rev limiter and now the ability to power shift. It's a lot more fun to beat on now! :rlaugh: Scott

    Football Spring Game

Not to hijack the thread, but when are AL and PSU going to pick up the home and home series that was supposed to be scheduled for last year and this year (I think...)? Just curious! Scott

    Automatic Transmissions in General

While I can't say for sure on a gas vehicle, my Superduty always gained MPG when I would free wheel up to a redlight or stop sign, I know that for a fact. The converter stayed locked and kept the engine spinning at a higher RPM than necessary. If the engine is running, there is fuel being...

Found oil puddled on timing cover (pics)

Yep, I actually didn't see it when it started. Since it was leaking from both ends, it spewed it down onto my X pipe and I saw the smoke before I saw the leak. Happened on the way to the dyno of all things. :nonono: Oh well, still put down 265 horse and 300 pounds of torque on the stock cam...

Found oil puddled on timing cover (pics)

I've never had to deal with the oil / coolant mix, but I did have both intake ends blow out after I eliminated the vacuum hose from the valve cover to the intake tube. I had the same situation with the oil puddles, just worse. My .02 Good luck with it! Scott

    Front Main Seal Removal Question

I don't believe it'll be that simple. The front seal is encased in a steel shell. You have to pry it out of the timing cover. I did mine when it was off the car and I was really a little worried that it would crack the cover when I was hitting it with a punch and hammer to remove it, and then...

    Pushrod Problems

That's the type of thing you need, as long as the stockers are within that length range, it should get you an accurate measurement if you can make the lifter 'solid'. For what it's worth, I've always just primed the oil pump to get the lifters pressurized, and never had a problem with them...

    StangSuspension brake lines.

I can't tell ya if they're the correct hoses for the Mach 1 calipers, but the bolts do have the washers on them in that picture. Good luck! Scott

    Simple question about line locks?

The brake lines come out of the MC and run right down into the prop. valve on my car. I don't have ABS though, so it could be different on those cars. Scott

    Tweecer for Mileage?

I made one up out of copper line, using the factory nuts to help flare the ends onto the EGR and header fittings. Worked like a charm all last year, and it really looks better than the welded-up stocker I had in there. :nice: Scott

    Engine coolant loss continued

Any chance the oil is coming in from the PCV? I know mine likes to leave a nice stain / wet trail in the intake. Just a thought. Scott

    Simple question about line locks?

All the solenoid does is block the line with the pressure you have applied by using the pedal. It will hold the car fine, in fact that's how they're supposed to be installed as far as I know. Between the MC and the proportioning valve. Mine worked fine until my funky line routing caused a...

Non-mustang pic whoring; dial up, grab a snack

My best friend had one of those for about 8 months. Popped the head gasket three times! It was a torque monster though, and that's saying something when you're talking two stroke. :D My biggest complaint was that it felt like you were riding a pool table, it was huge and didn't fit any of our...
