Next Mod - Suspension or Wheels?

Capitol and 540, I live in Cary and am waiting to install my PH bar sometime. Maybe we can help each other.

Who's done the coil over suspension???

My suspension isn't noisy, but b/c of the high spring rate, the car rattles when I go over rough roads (the dash and all the loose items in the car). Lets face it, the Mustang wasn't built to be a quite ride. If I wanted a quite, smooth ride, I would have gotten a different car.

Who's done the coil over suspension???

I have done the MM front and rear coilover setup. I am using 350lb front springs and I think 250's in the rear, whatever is in my sig is correct for spring rate. The ride is very harsh over bumps and the potholes are bad, but it corners a crap load better than what I had before. I had Steeda...

    Has anyone installed SFC's themselves?

The point here is to support the car by the wheels not the frame and no matter how you do it, just make sure you are safe. I installed my sfc on my own and had no problems besides it being a pain welding with the car sitting about a foot from the ground, I should have jacked the car up...

    coilover noise - help please

I am the guy that posted about the MM coilovers not making noise. Since than I have payed closer attention to the noise in the car, especially from the suspension. I have 350# in the front and 250# in the back, so my suspension is very stiff. I have noticed noise but it is not coming directly...

    coilover noise - help please

I haven't looked at the actual detailed design of the other kits so I am not sure what the differences are. If you go to MM's website and look at the installation instructions, you will be able to see every component of their design.

    coilover noise - help please

I have MM front and rear coilovers, I just installed them about 3 weeks ago. They are great, I am using 350lb springs in the front and 250lb springs in the back. I am also using Bilstein struts and shocks. I don't have any noise in the car from my coilovers. The ride is pretty harsh with...

    Octane Boost???

There was a good thread on this topic probably about 2 months ago on this forum, sorry no link. The basics were that some work and some don't. You should only use it if you are racing and don't have access to race fuel, or you are pinging and can't retune your car. The stuff that works is the...

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

If you get it to work with minimal cost than you will be my hero. I think this is a perfect kit for people looking for more power but not overkill. If you get the kit, start a new thread and keep us posted on the progress.

Should I get Mechanical or Electric gauges?

I don't have gauges in my car, besides factory, but hopefully whenever I have the money to do serious engine mods, than I will go electrical. I do research for a living so I work with mechanical and electrical guages all the time. I would prefer electrical gauges b/c of the simplicity. It is...

Does Mobil 1 oil go bad?

If I wanted to know how good an oil is, especially in the 4.6, than I would go ask the cab companies in New York City. If you really want to test an oil than that would be the best testing grounds, hands down. The cab drivers drive their cars a lot harder than 99.999% of any other car owner in...

    Practical upgrades for 02 GT?

If you want to get pullies go ahead, they are just as big a risk as doing any other mod. I have had pullies, installed myself, for about 70,000 miles on my 02, btw I have 80,000 miles right now. You could always get bad parts from a company and you could always install them wrong just like any...

Need help with Demolet tunable induction install

I have said it before (in another thread) and I will say it again. Testing CAI's on a dyno will not work. First of all, I don't of any dyno's that are accurate to +/- 1 HP, at least not dynos that are in shops. Second, CAI's are suppose to pull in cold air from inside the fenderwell. If the...

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

Well that depends, which leads to this long thread. You purchase the blower for PI or non-PI heads and than purchase the install kit seperately. So far they don't have an install kit for 99-04's. People have said that the only things needed to install it on a 99-04 is some different brackets...

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

I will break it down for everyone: If you want HP in the range of 350 rwhp and are satisfied and don't want anymore power, than here are your options: 1.) N/A way too expensive to reach the 350 Hp range 2.) NOS doesn't work for people like me that want the power all the time 3.) turbo...

    FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

What we need is for someone like MPH to take one of these kits and set it up on a 99-04 stang and than sell it as a kit or at least sell an accessory kit. They could make the correct brackets and such and have a good tune for it and than the customer could either buy the blower from Ford or MPH...

    Interesting read on CAI's...

The problem with testing CAI's is that even if you correct for the a/f ratio, a dyno is not really a good test b/c most dyno's are in a controlled environment. CAI's are supposed to bring in cool air from the fender. I don't know how much of an effect it will have, but I imagine that a moving...

I would love to spend that kind of money for a S/C, but where do I find used superchargers?

    Upgrading heads on 04 GT

What cams and what is your exhaust setup, do you have a dyno. I would like to see the torque curve. Do you have gears? Thanks
