    97gt can't spin tires?

    I wouldn't worry about it too much, I rented a new (1200miles on the dial) 2003 GT Vert with an auto last summer & with the traction control off it would not burn the tires up from a stop. I had to Break Torque it to get any significiant rubber burning action.

    You shouldn't have a problem with 255's. 275's would probably be as big as you can go...but I would check with a tire dealer first. BTW 255's are only 10mm larger (this much bigger ---> ___ ) than 245's, so if your looking for an appearance adjustment....then you should go larger or you...

    Your average Cobra is going to run right around that area, Give or take a few. But a 99+ Cobra Will have a better top end charge then a LT1 Vette.

    Okay...maybe 99+ Cobra aren't a .6 - .8 seconds faster. But they are easily a 1/2 second & 3 - 4 mph faster with the same driver (skilled), same track, same day. As Far a SOTP goes the GT loses in every aspect except the 0 - 60mph sprint. Cobra's aren't really weak on the bottom end compared...

    Take a guess at how much a GTO would cost with an LT5..... $45 - 55,000 or more. So yeah it COULD have one but no one would buy it.

    Its not stock....with mods you have....you should pull on a Stock LS1 with relative ease.

    Why is my car so slow?!!

    Well 15.8 is slow but it really depends on the track your running at....Stock 99+ GT are supose to be in the 13.9 - 14.3 range. Up here in Calgary....most stock GT's run around 14.9 - 15.2 @ 92mph.

    I think some of the increases your seeing after each run is the stock computer "learning" that it has more flow on the exhaust side. :shrug:

    Better, but in reality the Lightning motor still gives up 100hp to the LS1.
