    Did you install new UCA's? They might be binding in the big nuts. Should move freely with the A arm without the coil springs being installed.

    Perhaps the spring metal cam on the steering wheel is installed 180 out of Phase? Take it off and rotate it 1/2 turn and reinstall it to see if that fixes the issue.

    Agreed. The Edelbrock will not bolt in place of your existing 2 bbl carb without an adapter (which will negate any potential performance increases.) Its a waste of money/time if you don't start with intake that was designed for the 4 bbl carb.
