    I definatly agree with you there on that. New stronger springs/hardened pushrods are a must. As for a custom grind cam in Highway highs case I think he should wait before going with a custom grind. Mostly because he plans on upgrading in the future and then he would need another custom grind...

    Thats how mine is. Even after the gears it dident get worse. But its been horrible. Now that my speedo dosent work I dont even MOVE!!!!!

    I think as long as you dont do something outragious your not hurting yourself. I am also on a budget(college/MX) is more important. And I installed a cam with about the same lift as the ford B cam and it dident hurt my low end. Infact it accually helped low end pickup and is about the same...

    Can too much cam hurt the car...?

    To me it dosent sound like to much cam. If its pulling down low and not up high couldent it be fuel pressure? IMO when you have to much cam you dont have much in the lower revs and alot up top? right?

    good harmonic balancer.

    I notice a little bit of a shake at about 3-4 grand. Im not sure if its the balancer or not but would replacing it help lessen this or would I be wasting my money?

    I agree with Michael. Even thought a stock mustang has the gear to do 150+ some people just dont get that they will only do about 130-140.

    Well the origional post was over a 3550. Ok i had myself all f-cked up I wrote the wrong tranny for the 6sp model. The 3550 is a 5 speed.
