    Oh and if anybody asks, Yes both those exhaust pipes are functional and no I didn't remove or modify the fuel tank or anything else of the car to get 'em there. :) Just had a REALLY good exhaust guy.... (1 7/8 pipes ... V6 car)

    The key is you just gotta have an 'in' with a smaller tire shop or some larger chain stores that is willing to mount the tire and try it on the car. There is a couple smaller tire shops here in town that do this for me. To them, it couls be another sale to they realy on really good customer...

    Sorry guy I kinda laughed when i read this the 1st time but now I see where you are going. First off... junking the puny 13" wheels and going to at least a 14" or better yet a 15" or 16" wheel 7"-8" (possibly 9" or 10" out back) with lower profile tires will do your handling wonders...

The fairlanes had a speaker grill preforated into the top of the pad not to mention '67 was a one year only pad that was not flat all the way across like the '66 or earlier pads.     For some stupid reason the V6 fuel pumps have problems. I've pulled engines before that were running and re-installed them and suddenly the pump doesn't work. I would replace it and it'd be fine. The last couple of V6s I changed out, same problem again, I decided to prime the pump or pour fuel...

    Don't forget that Holley 2bbls will work aswell. Doesn't have to be a Motorcraft. Two of the many V6 cars I had were topped with Holleys from the Factory. I'm really surprised that a rebuild didn't cure the problem. Been rebuilding carbs for a long time now, always had pretty good success...
