    Help improve my combo!

You haven't included enough info on your combo right now. I can help you gain a few tenths by just tweaking. I am running a 13 year old stock motor with a C6 tranny, motor has 110,000 miles and 1,500 runs on it. Car weighs 3,500 pounds with driver. 1.86 best 60 foot and 13.73 best ET.

looking for a new hood NEED HELP!!

ABC is garbage and so are Cincinnatti products. If you are a Mustang fanatic and want to make your car look real good, do yourself a favor and buy Cervini. If you cannot afford it, wait until you can, because trust me, you will not be dissappointed. It's just like buying a computer or TV, just a...

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

Thanks Rick, I really like that combo. I was thinking something similar except maybe for a little less compression. I was more concerned about who makes the best stroker cranks to match a Dart block. I was thinking about keeping it FI (maybe), any thoughts?

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

Did everybody give up on this post? Or does not anybody run a stroked 351W?

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

I can't really put a number on how much I want to spend. If I had to I'd sday 7,000-8,000. If it's more, so be it, I'll take all the time I need to get it right. I don't want it to be a wild motor, I just want low 10's out of a flat-top piston stroker motor. I want to get my ET from torque and...

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

The condition was very good. Espoecially since my MPH's and ET's are based over time when my clutch and pressure plate were replaced. Since I run brackets, those didn't last long, but I do have time slips from them. I want a large cubic inch motor with flat top pistons that can get me into the...

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

For those that do say that a C6 robs you of HP, my ET's will say otherwise. My MPH with my T5 was only about 1.1-1.2 MPH higher than my C6. My 60 foot times were almost the same and my overall ET's were actually almost identical too. I guess it all depends on the convertor. I spent over $700 on...

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

I am looking to keep the original interior without stripping. Which is why I want to go with a large CI small block. The 5.0 Mustang was built with a small black and I want to keep it that way. I can run 13.7s right now with really good air and a C6 tranny. I went with the C6 for durability...

    Tried and proven 351W stroker?

Hey all, I need some opinions. I am looking to build a LARGE 351W stroker motor for bracket racing. It will be in a 3,500 pound 1993 LX Hatch with a C6 tranny. I want to build a flat-top piston motor that will last a couple of seasons (600-700 runs) without any work. My current combo has my car...

    Failed Emissions...Help.

No, it just means it needs a tune up and a good cleaning out at the dragstrip. I passed with no cats, how can he not pass with bad cats?

drag struts are they worth it?

Don't waste your time getting a set of either 90/10 or 70/30..... Go to Strange and get their 10 way adjustable struts. I put their 10 way adjustable shocks and struts all the way around for under $400 and the difference is UNBELIEVABLE! My car is used for bracket racing so I adjust the...

    Failed Emissions...Help.

Do yourself a favor and call up VP racing fuels and find out who supplies Motorsport 103 fuel in your area. It was supposed to be a California emissions high performance gas that they came out with 6-7 years ago and it turned out to be a KILLER fuel for racing. I currently use it to bracket race...

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

So what advantages, if any, is there to locking down the timing? I know a couple of guys that have done it without any problems. I was under the impression that if I locked it down that it would keep the computer from making any small changes that it wanted to over the course of a run based on...

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

I'm really glad that you mentioned that because you just proved my theory. I had heard about this in the past so about a year and a half ago whenever I pulled the car off the trailer to warm it up, I would let the motor get up to about 200-205 degrees before I turn the fan on. Ever since then it...

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

If you are implying that it takes some time for all the sensors to come into play, my fluke runs usually happen after I've made several runs. After a fluke run, it'll continue to run that way the rest of the night. So I guess what you are thinking would make sense.

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

Not sure about the validity of this, but a couple of guys I bracket race with do not even use O2 sensors. Their cars are pretty consistent, although neither of them are street worthy. If it means anything, with 20 degrees initial timing, when I had mine dynoed it was putting out between...

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

It's setup to run the quickest, but still have all the accessories to make pass after pass. i.e. no icing intake, full belt to cool and charge, etc. It was dynoed with peak HP at 4950. So even if I retarded it to get some top end, the motor can't breath for it to make any difference. With 26"...

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

I am still running with the spout connector installed. I guess that is what I was trying to get at. If there is no detonation, why and when does the computer start to make it's own adjustments? I use the 20 degrees and VP 103 because the car never sees the street, it's more responsive off the...

Ahhhh !! Windshield molding is kicking my butt!

Where did you get the molding? I'm looking to replace mine on both the windshield and back window. I cannot find any place that sells them for the life of me.

If 10 degrees BTDC is standard timing, what is advance?

So technically speaking, how much can you possibly advance timing? I run 20 degrees initial on mine, using VP Motorsport103 fuel. It is a stock motor used only as a bracket car. I've tried many timing settings and this is where it runs best. People say never go higher than 16, but this has...
