    Running on E85?

Nothing against Canada - but I'm in the US military stationed in Canada, because of that I can say I'm pretty f%#@ng tired of our troops dying over oil. I enlisted to defend our constitution, not an oil derrick. So I will do what I can to limit the amount of oil I use, if that means spending a...

    Running on E85?

Here's an example of a high performance electric car. It's completely new, not a conversion. It gets 250 miles between charges, acceleration is 0 to 60 in about 4 seconds and top speed over 130 mph. $8k will get me around 50 miles from my conversion and that's all I need from it for now...

    Running on E85?

Ignorant? Ignorant is still paying countries to kill us. :bang: Who has the most oil? And as I said I'm not doing it to save money - I'm doing it on principle. Oh, and at the lights the car isn't using electrity.

    Running on E85?

I've been doing research over the last couple of months on converting one of my cars to electric only. It will cost me about $8k to convert it and I'm not doing it to save money on gas. I'm doing it because it's time to make a change. When the range of the car will be around 50 miles I can no...

    Best clutch cable set up?

How did you guys route the cable between the shock tower and headers/manifolds? I've been through three cables and am now looking into having a custom length cable made to turn down in front of the shock tower (between the shock tower and the front of the car).

    Just shoot me now....

When I first read this I was ready to call :bs: . but I downloaded Oklahoma's driver's manual and sure enough "When a driver ahead of you signals a lane change, slow down and leave space for the change." Every place I've been the burden is on the driver making the lane change to ensure the...

    HIDEOUS ABOMINATION on mag cover

I think it's a great idea. Maybe they could turn a miata coupe into a fastback?

    need stereo help

NPD (and others) sell a bezel to mount a DIN sized radio in 67+ mustangs. I don't believe it requires any cutting. It's in the "interior Parts and Upholstery" section, page 16. NPD Mustang Catalog

    Anyone using Air Ride suspension?

I put two of their airbags on the rear of my 01 cherokee to help with hauling and my god I love them! I'm disappointed I already redid the suspension on my 66 or else I'd have the whole thing set up with air ride. The ride has improved a great deal and they really do help out with the cornering...

Kill switch in the cigarette lighter... how?

I did exactly as BIG MAC said, but I used the seat belt warning light as an indicator of the switch position. I wired the light to a keyed 12v and the ground to the switch so when you turn the key to ACC you can see if the MSD box is grounded or not. Grounded = light on = no start. Toggle the...

    HID Lights

I haven't been able to find a complete package for our cars yet, what I have found are tri-bar headlights with the replacable element and then you can install a HID conversion kit. Tri-Bar Headlights Conversion Kits

    hipo manifolds on a 5.0

I'm going to do the same as you, tired of the "these headers 'should' work line. I don't have the money to waste on shipping to BFE canada to try every last header on the market. Any way, rant over; the hipo manifolds will bolt up to the factory heads. Out of curiosity, what are your plans for...

Anybody using an oval Cobra air cleaner on a small block?

I have the TCP motor mounts, weiand stealth intake and a 1" spacer (so the air cleaner would clear the MSD distributor) and it barely clears the stock hood. I can't say for sure on your setup, but I'm guessing it would be about the same height as mine or less. -Hurt

Anybody using an oval Cobra air cleaner on a small block?

Here's a side shot of a 302 with the valve covers/air cleaner you're talking about. And attached is the engine in the car. -Hurt

    Mustang friendly fire extinguishers?

Hmm...the military uses halon in some buildings (I know the communications building I used to work in had it). I don't know if it was actually 'halon' or some more environmentally conscious form but we referred to it as halon. Either way we were briefed if you heard the alarm you...

    SN65 on E-Bay....

I wouldn't be comfortable with it, then again, I can't build a great car like that. Good luck with the auction, we'll be rooting for you.

    SN65 on E-Bay....

The last Barrett-Jackson auction was promoted with the fact that all cars were auctioned at no reserve. They told the car owners that if they wanted to place a reserve on the car then they might not be able to fit the car in the auction at all. Are you guys willing to do this? I'd be way nervous...

If you haven't read this already I highly recommend it. Identify factory GTs It's from KAR Mustang out of Ohio, they continually buy and sell mustangs so they might give you a ballpark of what it's worth. Post some pictures if you have them and the group can help point out some potential...
