    An object of pity

special deal Thanks. What can I say? Special year-end deal. I REALLY wanted the cream Cobra with grey stripes, Cervini grill, and white ball shifter, but $48000! Anyway, I put the stripes on.

    An object of pity

I have had the GT about 6 weeks now and have put stripes on it, shocks, air intake, SCT tuner, and yesterday, Flowmasters. I live in military housing. A neighbor woman walked by at 0830 and addresses the typical mid-life crisis bit of needing a red sports car, among other things. She said...

    SCT Xcalibrator 2 questions

I see that SCT has a site and forum. The overall impression is that their instructions are woefully inadequate. They made available a pdf file that answers some questions, but shows they could really use a good technical writer. I have to write SOPs (standard operating procedures) on a regular...

    SCT Xcalibrator 2 questions

There are optional settings for: Spark 0-2000, or 2000-4000, or 4000-8000. What does this mean? What do you folks do? I notice after the highest spark setting option it says, "WOT Air/Fuel". I don't know what they're asking? I'll find out here real quick if our gas around here, which only...

    tuner rpm setting?

XCal tuner asked what rpm to set to. I put the lowest- 6000 rpm. Do you folks recommend higher?

    CAI, tune, hesitation

O-tay. I don't know what all these acronyms are for the junk on new cars. It's sure not like a 68 Chevelle, an 82 Jeep, or a 67 Catalina. Ja, just dated myself.

    CAI, tune, hesitation

Come on now, don't be condescending and insulting. The cars that I worked on (in the past) intensively had points, rotors, and carburetors. If I start working on a modern car with equipment I'm unfamiliar with I need instruction. It is not that I am incapable of the job. I have had no need to...

    CAI, tune, hesitation

Seems to be doing okay now. Might have been a "burp" in the system, or some fuel that was disagreeable? I don't think of any computer as being intuitive enough to adjust itself though. It does what it is programmed to do.

    Cervini's grille

Yup, I like the Cervini's a little better. One comment on their site said that it was easier to replace with the bumper off. I thought that was a bit much.

end in A I'm happy now- the stock starts in "M", and ends in "A".

    Cervini's grille

I love the Cervini's grill, but wonder how much of a pain in the rear it would be to install? https://www.cervinis.com/product.aspx?car=1&id=1208#7025

4:10s with stock code M inferior?

M I think, and will have to check the box later, that my gears stock number started with an M, not ending with an M. Is that still a "Motive" gear? It makes me lose faith in the guy that installed the gear.

4:10s with stock code M inferior?

I read elsewhere that if there is a "M" code in the part number for the Ford 4:10 gears they are considered rejects. Supposedly they require special setup, but will still make noise. Then the guy said a "good set" comes from Twist Racing. Well, I had a Ford mechanic put in gears at his home...

    Tokico D-Specs strut installation

I looked at this installation article. It looks like I need to take the car in because of the need to compress the springs? I'm just replacing the struts, not the springs, but to dismantle it they used a spring compressor. The rear shocks weren't too hard to put in...

    H-pipe stock on 07?

I was wondering if there would be a sound difference, but it looks like the catalytic converters are welded to the pipe. I think I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks for the input.

    H-pipe stock on 07?

Are my eyeballs fooling me, or does my new 07 GT have a factory H-pipe exhaust? Heck, all I need is new mufflers then.
