Retorque head bolts after first drive?

It depends on the head gasket, but I would do them anyways. You shouldn't have to replace any gaskets, at most the upper/lower intake gasket. The cork valve cover gaskets can be reused tons of times. Otherwise, it will eat at your mind, soon, causing you to lose sleep at night, breaking out...

cons of retro fit lifters and non-roller block

Cost. Using retro rollers will double your cost of using a roller cam. The retro rollers have to use a link-bar setup to keep them from rotating, increasing the cost.

bad ball joints, new part question

A snipe would be a handle extension. In my case, I use the handle off the jack and put it on the ratchet increasing my leverage. A long handled breaker bar would probably work.

    Removing smog

Because belts are pretty self explanatory. Basically, the part # would be K6845 or something very similiar to that. The 6 signifies a 6 rib belt and the 845 is pretty obvious.

    Battery Relocation Question

No need. The positive just goes to the remote starter solenoid (I'm guessing your '83 uses one). So you just need to run the 1/0 gauge from the solenoid to the battery. And a ground is a ground so ground the battery somewhere in the back. If you don't use a remote solenoid, then just run...

Terrible city mileage then great highway mileage?

It's the O2's. When I installed my longtubes I left the O2's out. Same thing, around town the CE light comes on. When going down the highway, nothing, not even for 1 hour + drives. Within minutes of getting into town the CE light will come on. But, like Michael says, pull the codes to make...

    stock crossmember with C4?

Stock will work for sure. You'll need to grind off the tack welds between the member and the round bushing sleeve. This allows it to move back and forth a bit so you can get it positioned right. Then just tack it back up.

making front skinnies with 10 holes.

I started with a hacksaw but it was taking way too long, so I started using a sawzall. jk - They were done by a wheel shop that specializes in this kind of work. I wouldn't even try something like this. I would imagine they are cut on a...

Looking for a 5.0 LX but Coupe or Hatch?

I talked to a Ford designer once that worked on the Fox platform. He said, and I quote, "The hatchback model was a mistake and should never have seen the light of day". Who am I to argue?

    H-PIPE LEAK...please help!!!!

Are you using the factory ball/socket setup, or the triangle flange setup? I know on their longtubes they use the triangle setup, which is much more prone to leaks.

how fast will ET Drags(or slicks in general) wear on the street?

I've run my ET drags on the street on a number of occasions with no problems. However, I have them screwed to a set of 10 holes with 10 holes up front and the white lettering rubbed off. I even went through a police check stop with the slicks on one night and they didn't even notice. If I...
