    Sway Bar

No idea on the cotter pin, my strut rods only have locknuts on the front. I don't really have the exact angle and I'm just guessing based on looking under the car from the front.

    Sway Bar

How far from vertical are the end links? Mine are a little angled, maybe 20 degrees. The strut rods were maxed during the alignment for about +2.5 degrees caster.

    Air Compreesor Question

No blasting experience here but I have the same compressor. That's a popular bang-for-buck unit; you can spend a whole lot more for the next one up or just a little less for a really crappy one. There are no problems using it to DA sand and prime an entire car or lots of grinder use. Unless...

    17x9 wheels on 68

I though of doing that too (too tired to check your math so I'm not saying you're right), but the cost of having someone do that plus the time I'd have to wait to ship my wheels to and from the guy, who was questionable in his return times in the first place, just to gain .5" wheel width wasn't...

Search for "17x9", lots of threads on it. But in a word, no.

what spark plugs should I run

Hm well I'd just do what they say, unless your piston/head combo says otherwise. Projected tips generally run hotter and what's the rule of thumb again? Better to go too cold than hot, isn't it? I admit I don't remember; I drive a cruiser so I just buy stock replacement plugs.

what spark plugs should I run

X recommends Y so I put in Z. What do you guys think? I used whatever NGK replacement there was and I don't have the receipt in front of me. In the end I don't think any of it really matters as long as it's an acceptable replacement but if World recommends something specific for their...

5.0 Ram Air Kit possible in 65 Stang?

Shelby scoops are too short to get any ram effect. Even with the air moving over it, the air that far back on the hood is mostly going to be slow-moving boundary layer flow, perhaps even static- to low-pressure due to the high frontal area these cars have. An effective ram hood scoop would have...

Guide coat for block sanding question

No experience using Rusto as a guide coat, but I have had it lift over cracks in repair areas. I sprayed the Rustoleum on just to keep the bare metal around the repair from rusting and the cracks, which were previously filled, primed, and blocked, had lifted the paint almost immediately. Maybe...

    Header bolts backing out... solutions?

Same story on my shorties. I had to cut some of the tabs to clear the tubes. The nice thing about them is having the allen head in addition to hex, but I believe you can get that on some regular header bolt sets.

    Header bolts backing out... solutions?

I used the Stage 8 bolts before and the gasket I had blew out so that didn't help much. Now I use just the bolts without locks because they broke/got lost, and with a set of these: Earl's Performance Pressure Master Header Seals - summitracing.com I've had these on for over 6 years and never...

CHOKE? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING CHOKE!!!!!!!!!

My 4010's choke is adjusted that the high idle comes on before the plate closes. For some reason any movement of the choke plate on my car will flood the engine. Pulling the handle all the way out on my manual choke is one part of my anti-theft scheme. Just a few seconds of cranking it with the...

69 drop kit vs weird factory effect question

Nice, thanks. Those are definitely saggy! Having plucked a '67 apart before I didn't see much difference from a Mustang other than the leaf spring insulators. I suppose they came with softer rates than a Mustang as well.

5.0 Ram Air Kit possible in 65 Stang?

Sorry, for some reason I read your reply together with Tim65's quote and reply. Many years ago I ran across some circular sheet metal housings at Home Depot that fit exactly inside a Moroso 14" air cleaner base. A few holes, rivets, PVC adapters and ducts, plus a conical K&N filter I had a...

    Davis Unified Ignition question

If you can't get full movement you need to move the distributor shaft a tooth. How much movement do you need and how often? It's not like you're constantly advancing/retarding your timing 20 degrees.

    CPRstreetmachines Billet aluminum E-brake handle...

Looks nice but not when it's installed. Out of place IMO but I'm not part of the "stick billet where I can" crowd. If it's stronger (which I'm sure it is) and makes it easier to use the e-brake then it's all good, but I'd prefer it in black. I'd rather have a bolt-on kit for a center-mounted...

Due to popular demand...Wheel Chart 2.0 has been hatched

I was certain your 2.0 album listed the specs on each car in the pictures. Is my memory that bad, or did you remove the descriptions?
