My '08 manual also says that higher octane may cause engine damage.

    Nascar

Glad to see the Mustang in NASCAR but was disappointed that the body lines were painted on to match the templates. I wish they would require cars bodies that actually looked like the cars we buy (like they used to do). Also, they should only allow them to run engines they actually sell in those...

My GT500 is rusting and Ford doesn't care

Does the warranty go from date of sale to the dealership or the consumer? What you are saying sounds like the dealer.

    regular or premium???

oh9, not that it matters AT ALL, but out of curiosity: do you mean that if the exact same amount of 87 octane and 93 octane burn at the same rate, the 93 will burn longer due to the chemical characteristics of the 93? It makes sense, just wanted clarification. I've always heard "slower" too, but...

    Considering S-197

I would look for an '08 or '09 due to the fixed spark plug issue and improved shifter. The GT's have good heads so there is no need to dig in the engine. A blower is the easiest way to make big power but they respond really well to a tune, udp's, cmcv delete plates,etc... The only real propblem...

    First mod ordered

I know its just for sound, but I just ordered some axle back Boomtubes. I know the best bang would be a tune, but if you took a different route like me, what was you first mod?

Driving with the TCS turned off

I believe most tunes can turn it off, but then you lose the ability to be able to have it on at all. That being said, I think it sucks and I can drive in rain, snow,etc.. much better without it.

    well it happened

Recently went through the same thing. Now I'm working for a temp. service but that looks like it's going to end. Here are some money-saving measures I took trying to keep my car: 1. Cancel satellite tv(using antennae) 2. Cancel home phone (use your cell) 3. Cancel internet(YEAH, IT SUX) 4...

The APR Performance widebody S197 has me considering an S197...

The parts on the rear quarter panel must be screwed or riveted on and then bondo applied and smoothed; pretty involved process. Here is a link to the page on their site with the kit. It can be had for less than the $4,000 that it retails for.

why did 2008 get screwed for CARB legal superchargers?

Sure there are: Edelbrock e-force, Roush, Whipple and others. I'm pretty sure Saleen, Techo and others make 50 state legal kits too. I think the Roush will retain the warranty and I know the FRPP/Whipple will if a dealer installs them.

    Aluminum Driveshaft

I've read on many forums that they are worth 2/10's in the 1/4 mile, but I haven't gotten one because I've also read that people have had alot of issues with them vibrating. Most people don't but with my luck, I would have the problem.
