    Wilwood brake dis(c)appointment

If you have an adjustable proportioning valve, with the car at normal driving load, you should adjust the brakes so that all four wheels lock at the exact same time. The idea is to never lock your brakes, but to modulate them up to the braking threshhold. Most if not all factory vehicles are...

    4-link / minitub question about 65 coupe

If you take a carefull look at the Martz rear suspension it acts more as a ladder bar then a four link. The Martz front suspension has very little geometry in common with a Mustang II suspension. "Mustang II Suspension" is VERY general term these days. The term can be applied to a...

anyone interested in a new watts link and a 3 or 4 link in here

Mike, if going the asymmetric three link route it might be required to remove the center axle bump stop. For me personally, I'd be glad to remove the bump stop for a three link. Others may not though? Opinions?

anyone interested in a new watts link and a 3 or 4 link in here

Mike, I thought of another design concern. Allot of the 65-66 Mustangs use Granada 9" rear ends (myself included) the spring mounting pads are rotated 7 degrees from a stock 65-66 or Edsel rear end. To keep cost down a bolt on bracket would be preferred as apposed to buying a complete...

anyone interested in a new watts link and a 3 or 4 link in here

bnickle, I am very interested, I'd post that on CC had I not been booted for reasons I do not know. crapola crapola Do you recall my post a month or so ago on CC for my ideas for a watts/three link? http://corner-carvers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25672 Evolution's design for Fox bodies...

How much alignment typically needed w/Lakewood scattershield?

Lakewood or any hydroformed bellhousings almost always need to be adjusted via shims or drilled holes and welded washers. The ford pieces are usualy pretty acurate.

    best place for mustang II?

It's been done before. Do a search on google. I'll see if I can find it in the mean time. Personally it's not worth the time for the money saved in the end.

sn95 disc brakes on classic mustang?

I've adapted 2003 Bullitt calipers to a MII spindle. But that really doesn't help anyone here though.

    mustang 2 front suspension

Kent, you can still mount a Monte Carlo bar on the inner fenders without having the shock towers. Replace your export brace by welding tubing directly to the Monte Carlo bar and bolt them to the fire wall in the stock location. See late model bars and TCP's Monte Carlo/export bar for an...

    mustang 2 front suspension

In the above post I sound as if I belive the crossmember will fail if not modified as Fostang has done. I don't belive this to be true, rather I recomend to be better safe than sorry if you are concerned about failure.

    mustang 2 front suspension

xoxbxfx, Thanks for seeing my humor. I disagree that the TCP/Global West/Fat Man suspensions will handle better. Especialy the Fat Man kit or any other kit that replaces a double A-arm suspension for a strut. Strut suspensions exist for only one purpose...they are cheap to design and...

    fixing stripped-out screw holes?

VT, invest in some small paper clips. Unbend the paper clips and cut them in half. Bend a small tab and stick the paper clip in the hole. Place the trim over the hole/paper clip and tighten the screw.

    mustang 2 front suspension

Fostang, you forgot negative camber gain instead of POSITIVE camber gain in a turn. Shelby mod or not. I suppose xoxbxfx belives bias-ply tires handle better than radials tires too? Now if you use The TCP and Global West parts for the best handleing WITHOUT cutting up your car, I can...

    mustang 2 front suspension

(Edited for grammar.) :bs: :bs: :bs: Is this your personal opinion from experience, or are you just regurgitating information you have been told? My guess is the latter.

    The SN65 project car

Bob, can I ask for a pic? Could you place the late model roof on that classic car? Maybe chopped an inch or two? I'd really like to see an 05 model roofline on a 65 but I doubt there are pics available for this yet.

Heidt's or Rod and Custom for Mustang II suspension?

I've seen both, and own the R&C. I can't recomend it enough. You could buy the kit and hang it on your wall and call it art that is how beautiful the TIG welds on this kit are. I paid 40.00 at the time to have it welded in by a pro weldor. That price included a hour long lesson. I could have...
