    Moto-Lita + Quick Release Hub

    Front Brake Line install

It looks like there is a slot below the large nut on the braided line. Thats where I mounted mine to the existing bracket. You just need the metal keeper that slides in that slot.

Has anyone mounted either of these mirrors on a 65-66?

I also have the Raydots on both sides. I spent a little time adjusting them when I put them in and haven't had to mess with them since. I worked the metal base to fit the contour of the door. Wish I would have thought about making the alum base. Good job Dave!!

Edelbrock air gap intake and hood clearance

With my combo: TCP solid mounts, rpm airgap, Holley 600 DP and the 2 1/4" K&N filter w Extreme lid and a F-glass hood with the scoop. I had to go to a 1/2" carb spacer to clear the hood. I tried diff height air filters and the drop base, but my fuel line to the carb wouldn't allow the drop base.

x-pipe w/muffs VS. Shelby style side exhaust

I did my own side exit exhaust with 2/1/2" pipe, a Dr Gas X pipe and Dynomax round race mufflers. Ok, it's LOUD, but that's the way I like it!! I have a low quality recording on my website below.

anyone have a pic of a 65 or 66 with a roll cage?

Yep, mine's a 6pt and the rear seat was removed since it would be useless anyway! I chose to change the mounting points to avoid cutting any interior glass parts, after having to replace so much during the resto (P.O. buthered holes everywhere) I just couldn't force myself to cut the new ones...

    Engine Compartment

Clean around the holes to make them shiny, then use a brass spoon to back up the hole and weld them up. You'll just need some extra hands for the brass!

    289 compression woes

I built my 289 using stock crank, rods and heads. Alot of thought and research went into the package as a whole. I also wanted it to pass tech specs for any vintage racing clubs across the U.S. By decking the block and milling the heads I ended up with 10.5:1 compression. If you go to my...

Where should I mount my MSD 6AL????

Here's where I mounted mine, 1 year on the road with no problems! It gets fresh air there from the openings for the battery. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/667000-667999/667160_31_full.jpg
