    Leave it in. My experience with my 00 and 03 GT. It smooths out the air and you need that. Both cars had a slight idle RPM change and when I installed the screen both of them smoothed out. :flag:

    Yea, I was thinking the same thing. How could the heat from the engine be any worse then the heat from the sun? Anyway, if it does fade, good excuse to get a Cobra R hood..... :D

    Yea, I wish someone could clear this thing up. It's confusing, two different color injectors on the same year. Must of been a change along the line somewhere. :shrug:

    Congrats on the Stang. I have a 03 GT and installed the Steeda Sport Springs and the Mach I Tokico shocks from Ford Parts Network. It dropped it around 1 1/4" and the ride is perfect. It all depends what you are looking for, I just like the way the Steeda's look. Just my 2 cents. :nice:

    No Problem I did mine last week by myself. It took me 5 hours to do, but I was being very careful and rechecking everything as I went along. It works best if you have four jack stands. Good Luck. :nice:

    Make your own, see pics I had a BBK CAI I had bad throttle response between shifts. So I hacked off the elbow, bought a custom K&N and made mounts and an air shield. It works great and the intake tube stays cool after a long run meaning it's getting most of it's air from the fender opening...

    It's drawing most of the air from the fender well opening. Plus the aluminum reflects the heat of the engine. Being an engineer, my friend and I did a smoke test of of the filter a few years back. And it drawes in a clockwise rotation around the filter. I know that other CAI's use a boxy...

    Well, I did the same thing on my 00 GT so I thought I would try it on the 03. What a difference! Better throttle response etc. and after a 200 mile drive the intake tube was cool. I am pleased with the results. I made a aluminum bracket to attach the MAF to the engine so the whole system...

    Pullies ? Yea, another thing the tech told me. Underdrives are a waste of money on the 03 GT because Ford changed pullies and they are not much different then the aftermarket pullies. Oh Well :(

    It's Clear, I think I stopped by the Ford dealer and talked to a tech, and he said the 03 GT 5 Speed came with a 80mm MAF and 24lb injectors, whick are pink. :shrug:

    Okay, I went down to the garage and measured the MAF, it's 80mm. Now the injectors are pink. I had a 00 GT and I know the injectors were not pink, I would have remember that. I hate pink. So, are they 19's or 24's? :shrug:
