How much did it cost to get your gears installed?

Yes, replace them while your there. If you don't you will be back in there again soon. These usualy last a long time, but 132k is a lot, and after doing service used bearings are never the same. If you pay to have this done later it will cost as much as the gear instal does now without them, and...

    which heads are these???

Picture is far to poor to tell, they are either E5's or E7's, but beyond that I can not be sure. If the pictures were better I would be able to tell, but I would just ask the person with them to give you the casting numbers off them, this is the sure way to tell.

What's the wildest cam you can use with Stock AFR 165 Valve Springs?

I don't know the LCA on that cam, but the springs will hang fine for just about any flat tappet cam, as long as it is under .550 lift. Assuming this is on a carb car, this would be a fairly good cam choice. May want run a RPM air gap manifold (no bigger than that), as it will take better...

I think I found the problem (High idle)

A friend of mine suffered for a couple of years from a simular problem. Ended up being a bad terminal at one of the harness connectors. The +5.0V signal wire going to these sensors had LIGHTLY(very lightly) corroded and was giving him heck... Anyway a good local shop that specializes in...

What's the wildest cam you can use with Stock AFR 165 Valve Springs?

Can run up to .550 lift, but I would not suggest it, also I would not run a very big, fast ramp cam like a comp XE- ***-R, unless you stay really small and keep to a low RPM (under 5500). The stock springs are mildly better than stock 5.0 springs, about the same as FRPP springs on their X or Y...

    94' Steering wheel on a 88GT?

trbkrb, does this require any modifications to work, or is it 'plug and play'? Cruise buttons and horn work too?

Bullitt wheels on a 92 Coupe??

Try ebay or stangparts.com- or just go to a local junckyard. I have seen a lot of complete "kits" (used parts) for $400. And have done it for less with junk yard parts that I located myself. Front spindles are best from 94-95 stangs Gt or V6. best price to value to function for front...

Which way to turn fuel pressure regulator to LOWER it?

CCW, or "out" with the screw should lower it.

Syncros blown or pilot bearing draging

V8only, those tricks wont work for a SN95. the bellhousing is longer and the output shaft is longer, also crossmember is not like the FOX unit. Must re-drill the crossmember and lengthen, or use spacer, the drive shaft. I still stand by just rebuilding.

    C-springs installed (pic)

colemanitis, Thanks for the info on the tires. I'm glad to see/hear you like the results. I'm looking for "just the right springs" for my 'Stang. I don't want it to look slammed and want to get over speed bumps without dragging exhaust or 7QT oil pan. Looks like these might be the ticket. Thanks...

    fuel system questions

Fuel pump relay is fused. Happened to both of my '90 'Stangs... hmm wonder if there's a pattern here. Anyway, relay is under the seat as stated. BTW, Ford has discontinued that relay and has superceeded it with a different unit... wonder why. Yeh, it's common, and I'm sure many of us know...

100mph 347 vibrations shift lever vibes bad .

Sounds like the shop ballanced the reciprocating assembly, so I doubt it's the engine. Do you have a new D/S? Old ones can get pretty bad, have had lots of vibration with the original steel D/S. May try to replace this with an aluminum FRPP unit, or take a look at the u-joints, they may be bad...

    daytime running lights

DRL, must be a Canadian car. No guess how to disable, but I would assume you could compare a Canadian wiring to US wiring on the wiring diagram. Should be clearly marked on the wiring diagram, I don't know. I could look it up, but my service manual is out at my buds house. Anyway, if you can...

    tps tec

TPS voltage should be at least 4.8 volts at WOT. If not TPS is bad or out of adjustment. No dead spots should be present, and watch to make sure it does not go up to 5.0V and drop back down while opening the T/B to WOT. I too have seen these and assume they are just some sort of "gaget"...

    dipstick problem here.

I imagine that link may be construed as advertising, but I beleive you are doing it to show an example of a pan that would solve the problem and not to sell pans for this company, so I doubt if they will block or remove it. Would be lame if they did. Anyway, thats exactly the type of pan you...

    Clutch comparison

A 'SPEC III' clutch would like do fine, but given you going TKO 500 I figure you planning some major power/traction upgrades? then a 'SPEC IV' may be in order. Check out SPEC/Star clutches- there bad A$$, and price is fair. I have a SPEC III that I plan on running behind my 392 with a TKO...

How many slines? 28 or 31?

Well a good 31 spine traction-lock can sell for $150 on Ebay easy. Finding a 28 spline 8.8 traction lock is a lot harder than finding a 31 spline, if that makes any sence! 28 Spline t-lock's were fairly limited to the Mustang 5.0, and a few other cars like 87-88 T-bird turbo Coupe's/ Murcury...

FINISHED MY REBUILD! but crankshaft pulley too far back??!?

You need to buy a pulley spacer. I am assuming it should be about the same as the FRPP damper I am using, but I cant tell you for sure. I am using a .950" thick spacer on mine. Anyway, the best way to 'gage' it is to use a long straight edge, (I used a long steel scale, but you could use a...

Worth the effort to switch to E7 heads from my stock E5s?

Not sure if you have enough valve clearance, may need to notch pistons, and, I don't think there that much better to begin with. The valve size is the biggest (only) difference between the two if I remember correctly. IF, you need to notch the pistons then I would say not, it's not worth it, not...

T5 or T5Z? Whats the 1st gear ratio benefit?

T5Z will allow you to use first gear with those rear gears. The standard 3.35 first will be like a granny gear with 3.55 rears or bigger. Either way you will not be doing anything short of launcing in first, but the 2.95 will allow you more time to shift.
