Thoughts on the new CPP front suspension?

My biggest problem with this setup us the quality of the welds and setup that I see on the nova page the welds look to undercut the brackets and I would have boxed the front mounting point. I think it is a workable design I just have concerns of the quality of the materials and assembly. I would...

    When do you NEED posi?

The only problem I have had with the AWD on the Subaru is that there is no tire noise and no indication that you are going to lose it until it is too late it is a VERY natural handling car that keeps me on my toes. I was at the dealer picking up some parts and this guy was there raising a fuss...

    When do you NEED posi?

When it is time to change the gear I will add a limited slip but I have no intention of ever driving it in the snow and rarely in the rain. For those situations I will be driving my Subaru there is a lot to be said for true AWD.

    Collapsable Steering Column Options

I do not think that the 68 one I looked at had the double D but I have been wrong before.

    Rusty Floor Pans

To quote Super Dave rust NEVER sleeps. Cut it out and kill it even with por15 that patch is short term at best.

    Collapsable Steering Column Options

The old collapsible columns are not designed like they are today with two splined shafts mated together the old system has a section of swaged tube in the middle that is suppose to collapse when an impact occurs. What I was talking about is adding some universal joints like used on the R&P...

    will 03/04 cobra motor fit??

Oh and all of these fit between the shock tower of a 67 and up car with no modifications though the EF is very tight.

    will 03/04 cobra motor fit??

A comparison photo has been posted many times but I can send it to you if you would like it show a side by side comparison of the 4.6 and a 302 the difference is striking. The 4.6 is a very wide motor larger in fact than a FE big block. A 302 based motor with a power adder. A 351W based...

    will 03/04 cobra motor fit??

The stock suspension can be made to handle far better than the MII. IMHO the 4.6 is a pig that has its place but it has never made any since to chop up a classic to put one in when you can make more power and have a smaller lighter engine installed for less work. YMMV it is your car make your...

    Collapsable Steering Column Options

IMHO the old collapsible column form the late 60’s is not any better than having some universal links in the shaft that should bind and break in an impact.

    Mustang Drop Spindles

Just for the record the drop spindle is not the only product he has. But that is neither here nor there you are peddling parts you do not have and in a way that is less than honorable. But please keep up your good work, your posts serve as warning to anyone that might do business with you as to...

    Mustang Drop Spindles

Well you have to see the super duper performance spindle I just came up with, it is far better than the one you have. I can’t talk about it but it is stronger better engineered weighs less and comes with a handy vegetable slicing attachment. Just by owing one it will make you the talk of the...

    retrofitting abs

If you changed the front to a strut system something like the fat man system and used an 8.8 rear I would think that this would be somewhat straight forward am I missing something here. I personally do not like ABS on a “driven” car because I like to have as much control of the car as possibly...

    VIN on 1966

There is one on the left side as well it just is not as easy to get to because it does not have the convenient cut out you have to loosen the fender to see it. Also there usually one on the door jam but that it not the valid vin for registration in most states.

    351w upgrades

It’s not that surprising that the 8” has survived behind the 351 with an automatic. The C6 eats some HP and gives him a softer launch than a manual and he has not said what size tires he is using but I did not get the impression that he is running slicks so lack of traction will help it survive...

Calling all SSBC disk brake kit owners!

I did not know if that was original or not but when I bought my car it had safety wires on the original equipment calipers. A much better approach IMHO than red locktite as head is required to get that stuff to turn lose and you do not want to have to take a torch to your calipers to remove them.
