    Whats quicker? Mach1/2001 Cobra

I hope you do know SVOKING that your Mach 1, although aluminum blocked more like a Maurader, your car DOES have 03 Cobra Heads, Cams, crankshaft, and 10:1 Compression, much higher than the Cobra. A good combination for mid to low 13's times. 01 vs. 03 Mach, yes the Mach is quicker 1/4 time wise...

With proper care and regular maintenance, an engine with gears has just a good a shot as lasting as one with stock gearing. Provided you are not always doing this to your gas pedal. :chair: Dont forget too that our engines like to rev high and seeing 3000 rpms on the highway while going close...

I would say 3.73s for a good ammount of highway driving. At 75 mph you will be at 2453 rpms where with 4.10s at 75 mph you will be at 2696 rpms. Not that bad but with 4.10's and numerically higher, you will be much closer to your powerband.

    03 Wheels on a 97??

Whats up everyone? I am debating purchasing a set of 03 Cobra Rims with wheels but I would like to get a sense of what they would look like on a 97 first. Does anyone have 03 wheels on their 96-98 Cobra? If so, does anyone have pictures of this? Even if its on a 94-95 5.0, it would help...

Yep, the gears will make you need to shift much quicker than stock gearing but, it also takes at least .2 off of your ET with good driving. First and second gear go by real quick when under WOT, but third through fifth are still very managable. A Good way to compensate for the quick shifts is...

Whats up Craig? To answer your questions, yes 4.10's and above give you a SIGNIFICANT improvement with torque and awesome power from 1-5 gear. In regards to "passing power" suppose your on the freeway going 55, or 65, you wont even need to take your car out of 5th gear to accelerate. When...

    Best bolt-ons for LOW-END power on a 4v

Another vote for the gears. They multiply your torque and you'll definately feel the difference. Nothing less than 4.10's on a 4v.

    1996 cobra installing a 5.8

You need to represent the 4.6, 5.0 Big Bore, or 5.4 DOHC in a 96 and newer Mustang. If you do decide on the 5.8, at least get some 95 tail lamps for your 96.

I second him. Hes right... 4.10's are optimal for the street and horrible for the track. 4.30's are better for track usage. However, I have 4.10s right now and they work like a charm. Seeing as how you only really have to shift three times total when cruising, 1st,3rd,5th, all at 3000 rpms, it...

    Top Speed of 2001 Cobra

Yes, any Cobra with Gears, 3:73's or higher, will definately go up to if not past 160 without tampering with the limiter. I've been at 162 with just gears.

SHould I get a 97 or 98 cobra or a newer GT or bullit?

The 1/4 Mile time for both the 99 Cobra and the Bullitt are very very close. I personally believe though that you will love every second of the dohc doing its thing under the hood. Top end is supreme on DOHC cars. I used to have a 98 and now have a 97. The 98 definately felt like it had a more...
