    K&N filter or CAI which is better

    i'm with black 96....my c&l ran hot with the filter under the hood...i also used 2 pvc elbows and put my filter in the fender and it dramatically reduced the temperature of the intake pipe...costed me about $10 to make the cai part,i painted it black and it looks factory...everyone at the car...

    i have a couple ???'s that i know some of you guys can help me with... first of all am i correct in the assumption that o2 sensors don't really do anything until they are heated??? would bad o2's cause my car to run bad even when first started,or would it take it until they got heated...

    C5 tanny? Better than C4

    from what i remember with my old capri,was that the c5 was junk...it wasn't as reliable as the c4....i was going to swap the straight 6 to a v8 and was told that i should change out the c5 for a c4...as the c5 didn't have as many available parts,and it wasn't as strong or reliable..

    yes there are a few turbo svt's...the problem is with them getting traction off the line,fwd is terrible,and spinning and wheel hop is a major problem...one guy i know is running 8 psi. intercooled,and he runs a 13.5 at like 112mph...he spins all the way to like 60 mph....he has a video of him...

    if the mystique was a duratec v-6 it would probably run 16's or 17's in the 1/4...there are not alot of performance bolt ons for the contour/mystique platform to make them alot faster.. unless it had forced induction or a 3.0 liter swap with svt parts...there are some guys running in the 13's...

    SVT taurus

    i just sold my '98 contour svt....they were built from '98 to '00...they have a duratec v6 making 200 hp...5 speed manual...and look like the above silver car.. probably the best handling car i've ever driven...not much of a low end pull,but from 5k to 7k pulls very hard,and top speed is 143...

    guys with longtubes

    i have long tubes on my '95 with h pipe and 2 1/2" catback w/ flows, and it sounds mean as hell...very loud..
