    Not enough power... In 2005

Well said. I couldn't agree more.

I too, was disappointed to see the intake covers were removed. I am quite sure there will be plenty of aftermarket covers... and I intend to be on line for them.

    2005 Mustang = poor quality?

That's not necessarily true. I could just be a lemon. With Ford producing millions of vehicles, some have to be of poorer quality. It's just a matter of the odds. And, unfortunately, there is no way around this. This is why they made the Lemon Law. That factory can't run at 100%, so the law is...

    2005 Mustang = poor quality?

That is hysterical! But, in all seriousness... I actually prefer to have the visors in a vinyl than a cloth. I prefer convertibles, just my thing, and every Stang Vert I've had has had cloth visors... which dry rot from the sun when the top is down. I have a 99 GT Vert that I keep mint...

Yeah, I think I agree about the Black. I didn't think the redfire matched that leather all that well. You would have to go with Black, White, Red (not Redfire), or Silver for it to work. I hate Red & White, so that leaves me with two options. hmmm....

I sat in an 05 GT!!!

He must mean the 2005... he said it still had the camo on it. I wonder if this guy has any pics. And if he can confirm if Ford is using the same top and rack system as the SN95 Stangs or did they improve this too.

    What's this Switch?

Is this some sort of CPU reset switch? Anyone know? http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/shows/springfield04/manicmustangman-2.jpg It's a small red switch hidden inside the center console.

    production has started

Unless, I too, am reading your post wrong, you said, "The 1999 Mustang did not go into production until December of 1999." Hence the other gentleman's assumption of a 13 month gap. Clearly just a typo. I knew what you meant, even if others didn't. :D

    small kids in Mustangs

I know... that lock out switch is stupid. The only thing it locks out is the passenger front side, which is where an adult would be seated anyway. What kind of friends do you have that would require you to prevent them from playing with the window? Any friend that has a slice of pizza in their...

    small kids in Mustangs

It is a pain in the ars to get little kids in and out of a Stang. I hate to say it. Visibility is limited for kids. They do complain. But, the days you have the Mustang out without the kids and the only thing screaming is 3rd gear, makes it all worthwhile.

What is with the 2005 Mustang's Antenna?

Actually, It's not as bad as you would think. I had it done on my 99 GT Convertible. It looks great without the antenna. I found the receipt from the body shop... it was $125. Not cheaper than a power antenna, but not as bad as one would think. Very minimal work involved.

    Ford's 18" Rim Option

As most of you know, the 18" Rims will not be out until the time of the new convertible, April/May of 2005. For those who don't want to wait, I found some pretty low cost rims that look identicle to the one's Ford showed the GT with at shows. They can be found at tirerack.com Hope this...

    2005 Mustang = poor quality?

the seats were hand stitched, too, by the way, in early production models. I don't know if the later ones were as well, but I suppose it's possible. They also do not use premium materials in the early prototypes.
