    Got the trans and new filter and seals took to trans guy. Came out of ?year mustang.I seen the inside my filter would not fit he cleand original just a metal screen. I installed no dowel pins to 86 Cougar motor I put in a 89 coupe. I am no expert by no way this is the story.

    Water Pump torque specs???

    My 1985 ford manual says 14-21 lb-ft. Make sure use Teflon sealant on bolts. Looked in my Haynes Manual for Mustang 79 to 93 same torque.
