    Release Date for New Mustang?

Not really sure. Last year, the '07s started showing up on dealer lots in early July.

    X Pipe Question (Bassani)

Yes, you have a pair of O2 sensors after the cats to confirm they are working properly. You either need to get a tune to turn those sensors off or get MIL eliminators. If you don't do that, you'll get a CEL (Check Engine Light). Sounds like a perfect time for you to go ahead and get a cold...

Starting in 2nd gear with Tr-3650

I never said that 1st (or the rear end) was too steep, just that you can start from 2nd w/o any issues. If the motor has the torque to pull 2nd gear from a stop with minimal clutch slippage and you are in stop and go city traffic where you're not going to see 3rd gear, why not?

    Don't feel the same

That's what I'm thinking. It sounds slower, so it must be slower. The S197 has a good flowing exhaust and it's been shown time and again that messing with just the axle back portion is going to net you very little HP changes.

    Shelby GT

Well, the Shelby GT is nothing more than the 2 FRPP pacs and an appearance package bolted onto a regular Mustang GT. You don't really need skilled techs to bolt that stuff on when you see lots of regular guys doing the same work in their driveway. If you are talking about the Super Snake...

    Shelby GT

ditto on everything above. I did run into a guy with a white Shelby GT and he got his for sticker after about 4 weeks of negotiations. The dealer wanted 10 over, he said I'll pay sticker and not a cent more, gave them his phone number, and walked out. 3 weeks later, the dealer called back and...

Starting in 2nd gear with Tr-3650

I start in 2nd all the time with my stock 3.55s for normal city driving. It's not like you need to slip the clutch more than a fraction of a second longer than you do in 1st, the engine has the torque to pull 2nd gear cleanly from idle. Granted, I only have 4k miles on the Stang, but my 98...

I hate to post this question, but...

Yup, it started the week before Labor Day on Friday, August 25th, which is when I got mine :nice:

wich mustang will get me to 12s cheapest?

I didn't realize the Mach was that much different. You learn something new everyday :nice:

wich mustang will get me to 12s cheapest?

I would say 96-98 Cobra would be the cheapest including the cost of the car. A Bullitt is still a SOHC 2-valve motor and the 99,01 Cobras have IRS which isn't so good for the strip. The Mach 1 is pretty much the same as the 96-98 Cobra with the New Edge body and different trim package.

Corrosion on wheels on '07 GT : 1100miles

The clicking sound on the clutch is the sensor that tells the starter when you have the clutch pushed in. Totally normal.

    4 spd vs 5 spd dumb ?

Having more gears allows you to do 2 things. It tightens up the ratios so you have less RPM drop for each up change and still have a low engine RPM when in top gear for good MPG while cruising down the highway. As bigcat mentioned, the 6 speeds tend to be adding an extra OD ratio rather than...

    22" on a 2005

3d carbon's boy racer sits on 22s and looks very good IMHO. I have seen it in person too, not just on the 'net. Here's a link to their site, http://www.3dcarbon.com/

    Spoiler or No Spoiler?

I like the non spoiler look, especially on a Stang with drop springs to suck the rear down.

    Humor while pumping gas?

I haven't had the fuel issue with my car, but I did have some gas station humor the other day. Some kid in a Prelude was leaving shortly after I got there and was out of my car. He stared at me and took off fast and chirped a tire on the 1-2 shift. Another guy looked at me and said "wow, he...

    Nitto 555DR , questions

Sorry guy, that's not how tire sizing works. The second number represents the sidewall height as a % of the section width (the 1st number). So a 275/40 has a sidewall height that is 40% of 275=110mm. The stock tire of 235/55 would have a sidewall height of 129.25mm. So your tires are...

    05 Throttle lag

Most of the guys on here are stating they get better MPG after a tune. Why exactly, I do not know, but my guess is that the more responsive nature of a tuned engine has you using less throttle than before in similar situations. BTW, I'm still totally stock and the lag is noticeable...
