    Frustrated, need help.

Go with rbohm's suggestion and get the frame alignment checked. I don't think they are going to leave any marks that will affect your car's value. Also, if you get a chance please post the alignment specs that they aligned your car too. The stock settings are actually not that good for...

16'' or 17'' Torq Thrust IIs?

The thing about 17" wheels, is you will have a much greater tire selection. The tire selection with 16" wheels is very limited. Here's some pictures of my car with 17's 225/45/17 front 245/45/17 rear <a...

    Retrotek Purchase

No, she's parked in the garage for the winter and it's too cold to work on her. I'll pull her out if we get a nice weekend, otherwise it will have to wait until Spring. I'll update once I get some more time with the system. Tim

    Retrotek Purchase

So, this past weekend, Sunday, 11/15, I finally got my car out to the track. I drove the 1 hour and 20 minutes to Summit Point just fine. But when I got to the track the Air/Fuel ratio really leaned out under load on hard acceleration out of the corners. I brought it back in after a few laps...

    Retrotek Purchase

So the above problem ended up being the computer again. It seems something is frying the computer when I jump start my car. Once again RetroTek came through and Overnighted me a new computer. Another interesting thing happened with the tuning. The computer has a tuning capability of 40% of...

    Retrotek Purchase

Well, I took her out for a spin last weekend (11/8) for a shake out drive... The idle started to smooth out and the computer seemed to finally be dialing things in. I stopped for lunch and when I went back out, she wouldn't start. I placed the key in the "run" position and waited for the...

    Shelby mirrors

Scott Drake makes a long base that allows you to use the existing mirror base location. But I had the same experience as ZooKeeper, they suck for rear visability. They look cool, but I went back to the stock mirrors. Tim

She is up and running, finally!!! OK, some more Trials and Tribulations, but finally the engine and the RetroTek EFI are up and running!! Well, I replaced the alternator, but then the electronic fuel pump wouldn't energize - - Vintage Mustang Forums... The signal problem with my fuel...

Anyone make a more durable parking brake handle?

One thing that I did was to drill and tap the parking brake shaft. Now when I break another parking brake handle all I have to do is unscrew a screw, pull it off, install the new handle and replace the screw. Tim

What is the optimum operating temperature for engine?

At what temperature should I set my new electric fan to come on? I have a 180* T-stat, so I was thinking I should set the fan to come on at 190 or 200. Tim

High volume oil pump & oil pressure gauge reading

The engine builder put a high volumn oil pump in my new engine. I finally got it running and it pegged (and stuck the needle) on my oil pressure gauge. My old engine used to run at 50 psi. What PSI should I expect from the new high volumn pump? Tim

65 Mustang clutch pedal spring keeps braking from the brake pedal

I removed my pedal hanger without removal of the master cylinder, steering column or steering gearbox. It was not the easiest job I have done on my car, but it's manageable. Loosen the steering column under the dash, unbolt the MC (leaving it in place and intact) and you can manuver the pedals...

    New Suspension... RUBS!

I don't think I know anyone that has fit 245 on the front, I think 235/40/17 is the max on the front for a '65. I run 225/45/17 w/ 4.75 backspacing and slightly rolled fender well lips. I have 245/45/17 on the rear, but could fit 255/40/17. Tim

    How to eliminate solenoid?

I'm currently rewiring my engine compartment and trying to hide all of the wires. I'm trying to decide if I should relocate the solenoid or if I can eliminate it. I have one of the new high torque mini starters, but it does not have a provision for the "I" terminal. I do have an electronic MSD...

    Retrotek Purchase

Reen, Where are you going to mount your fuel pump? I'm finally getting ready to install my Powerjection 1 system, by am struggling with the fuel system - fuel filer and fuel pump locations. Also, are you planning on using the stock 5/16 fuel line or replaceing it? Thanks, Tim
