    2001 Cobra vs. Mach1 ('03 / '04)

The IRS is not crap for its intended application and that is to elevate the handling and ride characteristics of a street-driven pony car. You're probably right if you're a serious drag strip go'er, but on the street, the IRS is superior to a solid rear. It promotes a much more positive...

    2001 Cobra vs. Mach1 ('03 / '04)

I'll have to say that I never heard that before. I was watching the transition period between the 01 Cobra and the 03 Cobra at that particular time and I never heard any mention at all of a naturally aspirated 02 Cobra for the US. If so, it must have been internal Ford talk or else I missed...

Are you glad you got a Cobra?

Going from a solid rear axle to a IRS Cobra is a eye-opener. I've owned 4 solid rear V8 Mustangs and then the 01 Cobra and I can attest that it has a sharper, more controlled turn-in, handles flatter, doesn't brake dive as bad and rides so much more smoother. Now on smooth pavement I wouldn't...

    2001 Cobra vs. Mach1 ('03 / '04)

I'd still go for the 2001 Cobra if for nothing more than the IRS. The horsepower ratings stuff is basically just advertised numbers, with the Mach being somewhat underrated. The Cobra probably has a bit stronger top end and the Mach a better bottom end. If its a daily driver, the Cobra will...

    2004 Ram SRT-10 vs 2005 Mustang GT

Sure there's always going to be a lemon now and again. My Dodge has caused me zero problems since I've had it. Yet, Ford apparently has been having quite a bit problems with the new F-150s so they all have problems getting some kinks ironed out of some vehicles. Ford has also had problems...

    2004 Ram SRT-10 vs 2005 Mustang GT

By the sound of the new SRT-8 cars, they will be a handful for stock naturally aspirated Mustangs. Motor Trend supposedly just tested the new 300 SRT and it ran 13.2 @ 108 mph...with the autostick. Plus, the 300 SRT-8 is said to have a base MSRP price of just under $40,000. That means the SRT...

    COBRA SNAKE EMBLEM

I've got a clean Cobra logo in my gallery on the Corral but I can't link to it from here because they've turned that feature off. Its a black and white but its in a simple graphic file and I don't think I have a way of converting it to what you need. Sorry.

How much would this be worth?

Well we already know that some degree of clunking is normal. The slight rattle rolling slowly off from a stop is somethign that seems to be hard to avoid too...at least for me. My first clutch did it and my current clutch does too. The rest of what you've posted though does sound like it was...

interested in racing a hemi ram?

I beg your pardon but they do not suck. I've also owned a Hemi Ram for about a year and half and its a mighty fine truck and plenty strong to keep me satisfied when the Cobra stays home. BTW, aren't you listing a Jeep in your sig with a 318 Dodge motor in it? As far as hypothetical...

    Insurance problems

Does he have other vehicles? If so, he's likely to get multi-car discount PLUS if he doesn't put a lot of miles on it, insuring it as a recreation or pleasure vehicle can make a difference as well. One thing you have to keep in mind is that the Cobra will retain more of its value than the GT...

    2003/2004 chrome Cobra wheels...

Are these real chrome wheels are just chrome-clad? Reason I ask is I stopped at a dealership a few weeks ago and just casually looked at a new 04 Cobra with the chromed wheels. However, upon closer inspection I noticed that the inside of the wheel looked like it was just aluminum and the...

    Give me a break..True Blue???????

Well, True Blue does encompass quite a few Mustangs including V6s, GT, Bullitts, Cobras and Saleens. I'm not exactly sure what exactly determines why Yellow and True Blue gets forums all to themselves, but there is a decent amount of traffic in both. I think the Pace Cars should certainly have...

    Bullitt value in 10 years???

Its value will be a bit higher than a GT from the same timeframe (00-02) but it will have steady depreciation for quite a few years until it even levels off. Mostly any Mustang will likewise have similiar depreciation. Your friend needs to get that great-looking Bullitt out and drive it and...

Shades of blue for my 94 cobra...?

I'm a big True Blue fan myself. The color is simply awesome when washed and waxed.

    Sport Trucks

The Lightning is the best combination. However, the SRT-10 can tow up to 6000 lbs. with the Quad Cab automatic tranny. I think it was the T-56 6 speed that wasn't allowing the original standard cab model any kind of tow rating. I'm a big proponent of the Ram SRT, but I simply can't afford the...

    95 cobra seats

When I bought my old 95 new from the dealership in Feb. 95, it had no Cobra sewn into the seat. The showroom catalog for the 95 Cobra also shows nothing stitched into the seat. No Mustang that I'm aware of had any kind of insignia in the seats until 1999 with the Pony.

    Seats?

The 01s also offer very good whiplash protection too.
