    Mass Air Flow Sensor

The MAF reads how much air is going into the engine. It outputs a higher voltage as the airflow increases. The computer uses the information from the MAF to adjust how much fuel it should give the engine. Unless you have made a lot of changes and gone way up in HP you won't gain anything by...

just bought new car and have questions

Yes you will hurt it by not running 91+. When you go into boost your compression goes way up. With lower octane gas you will get Pre detonation. The gas explodes under compression and not from the spark. It explodes early on the up stroke and can cause serious damage. Look at the dashboard. It...

    1998 cobra K member??

You are kidding right? A good K setup like the MM unit is much stronger than the stock unit. The squeaking was from Poly crap bushings. Never use Poly. Its a waste of money. The durometer reading on poly Vs the stock newer cobra rubber is almost the same. Delrin or sphericals are the only way...

    Problem with Engine Stutter

Wouldent a failure in the FRPS throw a code fault and a check engine light? I have had the low fuel pressure code fault several times when in a high speed sweeper and a low fuel tank. Giving ATL and Aeromotive my credit card solved that problem LOL

    Problem with Engine Stutter

Did the temp in the car go over normal? Have you ever had the car go into limp mode? When the car senses too much heat it will just bog when you hit the gas and have zero power. After a few seconds the temp will drop and the car will run normal again. I am not saying that this is what happened...

To drift or not to drift

"Let me tell you who I’ve ate Lunch/Dinner/Supper with and whom are very good friends of mine from the Racing World because of who I am, not who I WANT TO BE: (I’ll bet you can’t tell me ¼ of them as to what they race or who they are, even though they are all National or World CHAMPIONS)."...

To drift or not to drift

Well the flick is what you will see at national championships. You will be in Topeka in Sept. wont you? I will. The flick is the proper 180 method for high HP high weight rear wheel drive cars. E-brake is for someone that can't figure out how to transfer weight through trail braking. The front...

To drift or not to drift

Oh I am sorry I did not know we had a skilled solo II driver here. Why didn’t you use the proper technique called the Scandinavian flick? This is the most accepted rally and autox method for navigating a 180. On approach hard brake and turn away from the corner, as soon as the rear of the...

To drift or not to drift

Never use the e-break in AutoX! All you are doing is killing your time and putting a nice flat spot on your rears. Learn how to break before the turn in. Proper turn in spot. Proper apex. Proper power out and above all... Proper car set up. Are you getting a lot of understeer? Is this why you...

To drift or not to drift

Drifting has nothing to do with the e-break. It is all done with a clutch pop, a snap of the wheel and power.
