    Brake Pads

No actually he didn't explain anything. All he said is that he had to dial in the cross slide on the lathe untill it cleaned up the rotor. The reason he had to do this was because the pad material was deposited unevenly on the rotor. This caused areas of the rotor to wear uneven. The rotor did...

    Brake Pads

Once again.. No such thing. Its pad material that is deposited unevenly on the rotor. Wrong pads for the driving or improper break in. The warped rotor myth is just that.. A myth.

    Brake Pads

Hate to burst your bubble but there are no warped disks. What you have is friction pad material transferred unevenly to the surface of the disc. This uneven deposition results in thickness variation or run-out due to hot spotting that occurred at elevated temperatures. What you did was over heat...

Nice Cobra! -pictures-this thing is sick looking!

I am amazed at the people putting this guy down because he chose to make a show car. I look at the work and can appreciate what he has done even though its not my bag, so to speak. I am a road racer and I took a 04 mystic and gutted the interior. nice leather mystic seats out they went. Is what...

You can also look into a MAF extender. Billetflow does a nice job.

    03-04 Cobra supercharger questions

Exactly right U.M. I still run the eaton and I have had to do a lot to keep the heat at a useable level. Most road racers switch over to a Centrifugal. A lot of it depends on what you want to do with the car. Are you just a open track day or "solo" kind of driver or are you going SCCA, NASA...

    Check out my back seat!!!

Torque curve is not right for a blower motor. It should come on strong at low RPM and stay rather flat through the range. Something isnt right.

whats up with you blower guys?

Heat soak is a big issue. I added a electric water pump. Upgraded the heat exchanger. Upgraded the raidator. water wetter. The real fix for this is to dump any type of on top blower. The heat transfer is too much. Going to a centrifugal is the best way.

whats up with you blower guys?

The 335s were easy. I made some very low profile subframe bolts. The front is a bit of a issue at times. I had to adjust a couple places with a hammer and disk grinder. I still rub a bit in hard corners. I am looking at the Tiger racing fenders. They are 2" wider and would allow me to run 12"...

whats up with you blower guys?

Remember though. You are putting down that HP for a few seconds. Once the squeeze shuts off you are much lower. I put down close to 600 HP as long as I wish. I run for 20-40 mins at a time.

whats up with you blower guys?

Nothing wrong with NOS at all. It has its place like any other power addition. It just doesnt have a place in the type of racing that I do.

SVT newbie..what do you think about these mods

I wouldent touch BBK. If you want top quality you should look at Bassani X and Catback or the Borla Catback. I would use the K&N FIPK.

    Has anyone upgraded their brakes

Dr Wu Do you have hawk HP+ ? They are too hard a compound for street. You will never get them hot enough. You will actually have Less breaking with them. Guys!! Learn to do your own breaks. It is very simple. Always have a spare set of rotors. when you switch in a newly turned set you...

01 cobra suspension for road course

You said you were upgrading your rotors and pads. First... NOT drilled! Slotted at most. Drilled will last you a couple track days and you will hear a "Tink" sound and see a huge crack in your rotor. The hawk pads are ...OK. Run them on the track only. Save your stock ones for the street. On...
