I am running 265/35 -18 in front and 285/35 -18 in the rear with no clearance problems whatsoever. My wheels are Cobra R's 18X9.5. Some guys are running as wide as 315's in the rear but watch for suspension clearance.
I chose the 285/35 because they have the same (or very close) revs per...
OK, thanks. I think I will order up a set and go for it. They really look good with the smoked headlights. Did the lenses pop off easily or was there enough glue to crack a little while removing them? I see you are in WA, are they watertight?
Sorry to bring this up again, but I read on another forum that the Blue Oval Industries smoke colored fog lights will work on an '01 Cobra. The thread had pictures and they looked really nice, the look I am going for.
The Blue Oval part number is #215736KS.
Are these the ones that are...
A couple of days ago I took my '01 Cobra in for service and to have a body squeek repaired. I have seen several comments on this forum and others about body noises.
The car is not raced and has 25k on it. The IRS bolts have been replaced with the correct size earlier.
After 3 days of...
I was just at my dealer yesterday and they have a poster at the service island. It has pictures of several headlights with various stages of condensation even one full of water.
Bottom line, they will replace them under warranty. I'm not sure about the used car warranty. Is there any of the...
The MM plates are an excellent product with very good instructions. I helped a friend install a set on his '98 Cobra and the job did not take long. We installed the 4 bolt model which requires some drilling on the shock towers. Before you get started, put some masking tape on the shock tower and...
It's 50/50 if you will have a problem or not. I have a '96 GT with an Allen Engine Development supercharger kit on it. It has the CARB-EO plaque rivited right on the side of it. The smog techs get all cross-eyed and check everything else with a fine toothed comb. In my case I'm sure dumps would...
The EGR pipe has a couple of bends in it that straighten out pretty easy. I read in another forum where the guy took it off and tried to reshape it in a vise but had an awful time getting it to line back up. I just removed the EGR valve from the upper manifold, pulled it to the side and...
I'm looking for opinions on the best product to use on the plastic and vinyl inside. I have heard lots of bad things about Armorall. I'm not looking for a high gloss either, just a rich deep color. Thanks in advance.
Just installed the PHP intake spacer. A really easy, low bucks mod. No dyno yet, but impressive SOTP. Accelerates smoothly and has more torque below 3,000. So far, well worth the money.
Has anyone else tried it?
Eibach Pro Series on my '01 coupe. It came down about 1 1/2". Not slammed by any means but looks good. Ground clearance is OK for 90% of the speed bumps. Handles great. No tire rubbing problems at all.
Probably just a rough way of accomplishing the same thing. There is a little tab that pushes on the adjuster attached to the pedal. Its plastic, so I wouldn't slam it. When you pull the pedal up it is supposed to push on the adjuster.
The clutch adjustment is very easy. Shut off the engine, put the trans in 1st. gear and lift the pedal up with your toe.
If it needs adjusting, you will hear a "clicking or ratcheting" sound. That's it.
There's no adjustment on the shifter.
