    Slicks/skinnies offset question..

    I'm ordering a set of AR Track Star 2 piece wheels.. I've got 15x4's for the front with 1.5" of back-spacing. The rears are 15x10 with a 6" back-spacing. I will be running a 28x10.5" slick.. Does this sound right? Just wanting to double check my math before I order them. Travis

    This kit, with the bigger 67mm turbo's and larger piping was just shy of 8K from HP. I think you can get a twin 50mm kit, minus the suspension parts for around 5500.00

    It will be a custom cage, built to NHRA spec. I'm not sure how it will pan out, but, it is being built by a local shop that's bad@ss, and does a lot of chassis/cage work. I know that he's using mild steel, and it'll have 10 contact points in the car. I've asked him to tie at least 4 points in...

    AODE NOT STRONG ENOUGH!!!

    TH400 from JW Performance.. under 3K for a complete setup, with converter, bellhousing, flex plate and shifter. It'll handle 1000hp, no sweat.. and it'll most likely hold up better than any C4 you put behind your motor.

    Going to finish gutting the car out today.. We're going to head to the drag strip one more time before we yank the powertrain out for the build. Gutted, with 27x10" MT slicks.. it should easily go mid to high 11's. We'll see.. :) Travis

    Just to clarify.. the windsor's 8 bolt crank isn't forged like the Cobra crank.

    The car was getting old.. (2000 model), and at the time, I thought I was getting tired of it.. 3 months later, I found out that wasn't the case. ;)

    The windsor engines also have pistons with thicker top ring lands.. which makes them a little less prone to breakage under higher combustion pressures/temps.

    Oh yeah.. I forgot to mention the body panels. lol.. I felt bad for the guy that I bought it from. He recently got a DWI, and was forced to sell the car. He was asking 15K.. I offered him 12.. and he bit. Poor guy.. Travis
