    Well just bought another fox....

Nice car, T's are getting hard to come by. It has had the GT seats installed somewhere along the line, you couldn't get those in any LX til 89- thats a good thing, my LX seats were always like sitting on old pillows. I always liked the LX body better(its just business, swoopy airdams and plastic...

Would you drive this or not?

:nice::lol:+1 from me- as an old timer, I can say in 89 my LX and I were in my street racing prime, and there weren't no factory blown Fox's or even a kit that was near affordable- Ford was trying to find excuses to cancel the Mustang and sell us Probes instead. I'd drive it with the 'For Sale'...

Picked up an almost 100% stock SSP car, are factory mufflers available?

5.0 Resto has a Ford Racing cat back, I think its the same as the OEM style except for the tails, which you can get at a number of company's. 5.0 Resto also has tails, but lots of company's do, not sure who makes the best original appearing types. Call them or Ford Racing bout that cat back-...

How Common Were Factory Non-A/C Cars?

Strippt means stripped, my LX is original AC delete, crank window, no defrost 88- I don't know how rare it is, but I never saw one like it before I found it, and I been playing with 5.0's since 87

Foxbody on 20's or 18s Vote

Lots of times I'm glad to be an old guy, where this sort of thing isn't even a consideration. My car doesn't need to look cool with the latest fad, it just need to run. Whew.:nonono:

    will i beat him?

Stock 5.0's are slugs NOW, but they ran much better in their day-when they had new, fresh everything, and some drivers who knew their business. But that was 20 years ago. The 86 was one of the slowest of the Foxs with a matic also, nobody brought that to a race even back then. With 4.10's or...

I want to see more foxes on mm&ff!!!...

Car Craft has on the first page you see a blue notch lifting the wheels this month, very cool 1 page homage. Fastdriver has a sticky set up for submission of old print, I've submitted a couple, but I'm technologiclly challenged, and have none of the equipment to hit him with more:shrug:. Yet...

I want to see more foxes on mm&ff!!!...

I kept all the really good old ones, but I also bought the various books(they don't make anymore of those either), but the occasional MM&FF like November's issue are about all the print there is anymore, good thing there is a StangNet for info:nice:

I want to see more foxes on mm&ff!!!...

+1, I was a subscriber from 88 til the early 90's when I raced my 5.0's, but Novembers MM&FF has the most Fox stuff I've seen in a long time. Didn't we discuss all this last winter?

    Gear Drive Vs. Knock Sensor

See, thats what I learned, but wasn't sure if any of the other techno gadgets were adversely affected by a dual idler setup, and the mfr's were just covering their ars by saying it wouldn't work with a knock sensor. My racing days are well over, so I don't need every ounce of power, but that...

    Gear Drive Vs. Knock Sensor

I love the sound of a gear drive, had it on my old 55 Chevy. I want the sound of a gear drive on my 88, but I'm understanding the knock sensor disagrees with me. Anyone have any experience or info on this? Thanks bro's!

Question for all you fox guys.

Got my first Fox in 1987. Not sure how I've had many since then. Nothing else is the same. I don't care what other cars do, they aren't my Fox. I could have whatever kind of car I wanted now, and I have a Fox. :nonono:on the daily driver here in Chicago. Thats why there are Toyota's.

Which company sells the best reproduction/aftermarket parts for 87-93 Mustangs?

Factory parts are alway the best, but 5.0Resto, Year One, Mustangs Unlimited, Texas Mustangs are some of the best, between them you can almost make a whole car

    Stangnet Rocks, others SUCK!!!

I can tell you, as a retired racer from back in the day, your impression of the GN owners was inherited from those guys that bought the turbo 6 cars from back then. They believed their only real competition was from the Corvette; they couldn't POSSIBLY be matched by a $12,000 Ford. I guess, when...
