    New Camaro

+1, Chris. It seems backward, as a Teamster, but the unions have choked the company's for all they're worth, one reason they ship the jobs UAW folks used to do, overseas. Here in northwest Indiana, there used to be great jobs at the steel mill of your choice. Now there's a grand total of 2. They...

    New Camaro

No long post problems, it means you're capable of thinking more than .05 seconds at a time! The bigwigs with the stampings for the best cars they ever made are having a hard time getting "Made in Mexico" stickers to adhere to the cars, the cars reject those things like a bad kidney transplant...

    New Camaro

Well, then maybe its just me- the old Camaro did nothing for me in the looks dept either. It could run its tail off, along with the Firebird, and that didn't save either from the ax. Course, when their combined sales were less than half that of a Mustang that was aging by comparison, it didn't...

We're 5.0 guys, and we talk. If all we talk about is 5.0's, we ran out of material 20 years ago.

    New Camaro

I got back from the first show I've been to this year. I haven't really been looking for one, but I saw a new Camaro SS there, it was this gold/orange conglomeration, with black stripes. Now, I like all musclecars. The new Mustang is wicked looking, Dodge did a great job on the Challenger RT...

    help please.

Your uncle is a good man, for having no choice, you have a lot of choice parts, making some nice power! The Southsides:nice: will help keep it level like nothing else made since, they'll plant the back end on your launch- I would get a nice torque box beef up kit, though. And get a rear sway...

Need help talking to my machine shop about engine work

Need a little more info, what you have is stock original? And, whatcha going to do with it? You may not need to bore anything, 5.0's of the injected sort don't score the walls much- unless you want to. But the application is important in the process.

I always wanted a 93 Cobra untill I found this.

With all that hardware, I ain't firing anything at that coupasaurus you have, you know what you're doing just fine! Well, maybe with the 86...:DI hafta stop listening to my "friend", he's my IROC buddy from the day, prolly still disgruntled over the rep they developed! Hey, he's also the one who...

I always wanted a 93 Cobra untill I found this.

No, man, I was on the phone when I wrote that, with my racing buddy from back in the day, who promptly assured me I was being slighted- but never let me off the phone to think!:nonono: The bastard:mad:! You're dead on right about the car, I was only looking at one part, distracted and stupider...

    help please.

Yeah, your motor is making way more than stock power, and losing the back end has always been a problem for the 5.0- one reason its fun to drive. Southsides are great, and free is the best price, but they're worth money, if you don't want them, or think you can get something better(you won't)...

    help me spend $5,000

Put the $ down on a house, they're not going to be cheap much longer. If you do it right, in 2 years you can sell it, buy another, bigger house with the money you'll make, and whatever kinda car you want- and not have a payment on either.

I always wanted a 93 Cobra untill I found this.

Mmmm...Back in the day I did my new Mustang buying/racing, which would be from 87 to about 91, just as many people coveted notches as hatches. The hatch proved to be easier to launch for me, they plant better. But my buddy Alex like his notch's hookup better, as did my brother with his. Racers...

    No more speed density!!!

See, I got the Thumpers going on mine, but I'm staying with the stock 88 cam. I've heard mixed review as how the SD setup works with letter cams, and the 86/88 cams were hotter than later cams anyhow-prolly why the older 5.0 ran a bit better stock. The SD 88 seemed like it wanted to go faster...
