Gears?? Long tube headers or shorties??

From reading alot of posts and having a few more years under me than most on this board I can say I respect alot of what Hognutz has to say. I will add however that there are alot of intangibles that can keep you from producing what I would call "book" horsepower numbers. Are you racing redlight...

Cobra "R" spoiler on 94-98 Any pics?

Weeeeell. I appreciate the picture. I think I like the spoiler, but I am not sure about the car its on. No offense if it is one of yours. Just a little over done for my taste.

    Ford Racing S/C

Yes. I have seen them in the Ford racing catalog, and they are sold thru a place iv'e seen in MMFF mag also. I think its "Powered by Ford". If I remember correctly, the centrifigul/ Powerdyne supercharger was advertised for the 302cid cars, pre-96 stangs.

Cobra "R" spoiler on 94-98 Any pics?

I have tossed this idea around in my head, and since most of you have good civil opinions on this site, I would appreciate your input on if this would look good. I LOVE this spoiler on the 99 and up body lines, but wonder if it would look as nice on the smoother, rounded lines of the older cars...

    Ford Racing S/C

The FRPP kit comes with the Eaton M-112 blower. Slightly more displacement than the typical M-90 that Allen, Saleen, Rousch use. It is turned slower as well. It comes with injectors and ECM calibrated for the set-up. When I was shopping, they were only available for 5-speed cars, but I heard...

    BORLA cat-back -- need solution???

If it were me, since I am partial to the Borla side exhaust, I would add long tube headers and move on to other mods. You can't hardly beat Borla quality IMO. Don't waste your money on the FRPP shortie headers like I did. If your gonna bleed putting them on, might as well get some results.

How are the 00GT Automotic Transmissions???

I Like my auto. I am at about 300rwhp and it is doing great. Have a B&M shift kit, and pump pressures elevated some thru the Allen re-programmed chip. It shifts hard. I doubt it would live long with 500rwhp though. In fact, I feel pretty confident that you should probably stay below 400 and keep...

whats it take to run with a BMW M3

Anybody know the weights of these cars? Lets face it, these Mustangs we love so much are just about heavier than anything else we go up against.

    Tire question for GT

The Tire Rack website can give you alot of info on wheel requirements and tire dimensions. I think the 255's will fit 9 inch wheels but the wheel edge will be about as wide as the section width. Don't know if you like that look or not. I like a little bulge. The 275's will give you that. To me...

    Are Nitto NT555's drag radials?

Unless you drive on streets cleaned weekly with a street sweeper, you may not like the Nitto's, or any drag radial. You will think the bottom of your car is getting sandblasted anytime you drive on any road that isn't clean. I was shocked at how much they pick up from the soft compound.

    Synthetic Oil

Ditto what Golden Pony said. You can't go wrong with Mobile 1. Its been around the longest, has a proven racing history, and the cars coming off of the assembly line with it are a testiment to its quality. As far as filters, I know the FL1A was once filled with recycled cotton instead of a paper...

    Cobra R wheel question..

Pretty sure tire sizes for the 10.5's would be 285/40, 295/40, or 315/35. I got 285's on 9 inch but it was tight. As for your original Q......if you plan on running a closer to stock tire size on the front meaning 245/45 then stay with the 8's. If you step up to a 275/40 for the front, run the...

Whats that next best bolt on????

I know, I totally understand :( . I had to go thru alot of financial hard times before I came out in a position to do it. AND, it was pre wife and kid. I don't mean to rub it in or anything like that, so please don't take it that way. I wish the best of luck on all your mods, and If I can help...

Whats that next best bolt on????

Read my lips! BLOWER!!!!!..When you put in a shift kit, or gears...that kind of stuff, and test drive the car, you get a smile on your face and nod your head in approval. It feels good doesn't it? When you test drive after adding a blower (for the first time), the exhiliration you get makes you...

FRPP "B" spring amount of drop

Kirkyg.....not sure why you are dead set on new shocks and struts. Is it time to replace old ones anyway? I guess if price is the bottom line, you could go with the "C" spring which runs about $130 for the set. They are a little cheaper than the B spring, I guess because of the slightly rougher...
