    3" or 3.5" exhaust kit ?

Interesting website for your car. I am actually pondering doing a 460 twin turbo, BUT: a 460 small block...or 427. Love the new World Man-O-War block. Have to admire your persistance...you keep screwing around with the same car. Seems more cost effective to sell a COMPLETED car and start...

aftermarket front suspension ride height question

I spent a lot of time crawling under the Year One car at the 40th Mustang show in Nashville last year. Full Martz front and rear. Very nice setup...would have preferred to do this on my 'vert, rather than all of the construction to re-frame the back and move the leafs. Martz allows a lot of...

Block for a 393 (maybe a 408) stroker (roller cam)

Two thoughts: as far as the block, I really wonder if it doesn't work better to just buy a pre-machined and built short block from a reputable builder. All of the time, effort, machine work, etc... I am contemplating doing this for my 2+2. What I would REALLY like to do is suck it up and buy...

    EFI Intake - Spyder

Nah...Fox-Lake stage 3 ported GT40 lower....and that Kenne Bell Flowzilla/Blowzilla "intake manifold"! I believe it flows MUCH better than that Victor Jr ;)

aftermarket front suspension ride height question

You may have had an idiot when you called Heidt's...young 'parts counter' type of kid. That was my experience [on the phone] and I just didn't have much confidence in them. Talked to the guy at R&C Motorsports [can't remember his name at the moment' and he was much more knowledgable. Bought...

    Help me pick a cam!

Agree with the plan to spend a few $ and get input from Ed Curtis. As an aside, Ed bought a GTO so we have him doing his thing for the LSx side of the aisle as well :)

Anyone using this new main/rod bearing material?

This is a puzzle. Frankly I am suprised you aren't making more HP and running better 1/4's than that, given you serious set-up on a 427 stroker. I would have expected > 400rwhp. Question: is this output a bit low, and if it is, might there be a connection between that and the bearings?

Metal Fender Flares for 65 Mustang

Present status: narrowed 9" housing; no gears or axles yet. I have a fuel cell that fits in the middle of that steel. As I said elsewhere, I have the Boyd Smoothies [17 x 8, 17 x 11] and have had them mocked up on the car. Front end has had a Rod & Custom MII front suspension grafted in. 331...

Metal Fender Flares for 65 Mustang

Your wish is my command Yeah, I know...LOTS of rust! New floor + tubs, etc...and other frame support => welded in. This puppy was neglected...by me! And, we'll add some nice shackles w/ good bushings. But, we've mocked up the wheels and they fit quite nicely. These are...

    66 mustang tri-4 link

Been away from this board...and saw this thread again I had some emails with Louie late last summer. He told me that he couldn't get the Satchell link design to work out. Also that school and work were keeping him busy. So...back to square one. But I'll ask the same question I did on...

Q for MDJay, others - any Heidt's rear IRS installs?

Just found this thread [haven't been on this forum in awhile]. I am still considering what I will do with my '65 when I get around to it. Has anyone here done a Martz rear suspension? I talked to Gary >2 yrs ago, before I decided to stay with the leafs on my 'vert, and simply relocate the...

Metal Fender Flares for 65 Mustang

Narrow your rear end. My '66 has a narrowed 9" and relocated leafs. 17" x 11" rear wheels fit under the stock sheet metal. I do like flairs IF they are properly done. We are actually talking about a slight flair when we get back to the body work... ...sometimes I don't think that car...

    Supercharger chart....add your input

331 Stroker w/ Kenne Bell 2.2 liter blower in '66 'vert Don't know WHEN I'll get my 'vert finished, but it will be FUN when it is. No roots, but twin screw. Great low end INSTANT power combined with better efficiency than a roots. Changing the car over to EFI is required, but well worth it...

    Martz Racing Chassis?

I came across them AFTER I'd already done a R&C Motorsports front end, and relocated/rebuilt the rear leaf mounts on my 'vert. I have discussed their system at length [over the phone] and may use it once I get around to building my 2+2. At the 40th Anniversary MCA show last year, Year One...

    Power adder poll

Let's see: the '66 gets: 331 stroker /sportsman block big ole hairy cam afr heads ported GT-40 lower intake ....and this lil' old KB 2.2 blowzilla/flowzilla pullied @ 12 psi methanol, injectors, controls...blah, blah, blah. Although the turbo goat has been chewing up all my time...
