Here's proof
This should solve the problem. Here is my dyno sheet of before and after headers. NO OTHER CHANGES WERE MADE. Everything on the car is the same as before. Only change is headers. I went from high-flow to high-flow. All on the stock computer. Both sets of numbers are SAE...
These things have been out now for a while, but I have not seen any dynos with them. Does anyone have a dyno with before and after the install? Preferably on a 2V NA.
Is the stock piping 2.25" or 2.5" on a Cobra? If it is only 2.25" then get an entire 2.5" catback. It gives the car a much deeper tone. You might even see some gains :D
Since I don't drag race and I just want something that will handle better around town and on some back roads, will it be a problem? Will upgrading the half shafts be enough?
Either one would do fine.
I didn't get the Procharger because I had heard all the horror stories about the seals. Supposedly they have fixed that issue. In the end I decided that numbers speak for themselves. Tons of people are running Vortechs and problems are almost unheard of. That is...
If that is what you are going to do then why get the kit? The kit costs ~$3200 and comes with the tune (which you aren't going to use), a Walbro pump (~$100), and 38# injectors (I got 42# for $250 shipped). Instead you should buy the TUNER kit for ~$2500, a fuel pump (~$100), and 42# injectors...
I have been hearing some bad things about the 03 Cobra IRS in comparison to the solid axle. People have been having trouble with the half-shafts handling that kind of power.
What concerns should I have with a switch? What would need to be upgraded?
I might have someone that wants to do a...
I know several guys that tried to use the Hypertech with 91 octane and they ALL had pinging on warm days. Some had it all the time.
I was in Phoenix (Chandler) a couple of weeks ago and had the same problem. I couldn't find 93 anywhere, so I went to the track and 5 gallons of 101. Not...
Who has used both and what do you think?
The Snow Performance kit costs $300 and the Vortech cooler costs $1400. Other than having to fill up the injection system occasionally, what are the benefits/downsides between the two? My mods are in my sig and the car is an everyday driver in...
I don't know if it is normal, but the one time that I CALLED Autometer they were more than helpful. Try calling. (Emailing was a waste of time).
Sounds to me like it is just the sender, but I don't really know.
It depends on if your SOTP dyno is run by your mind or your butt. I have seen several people say that they felt a HUGE difference and they gained nothing or even lost all across the board. Sometimes the desire to get your money's worth takes over.
I felt the car pull harder about 3500rpms...
That is with the stock pulley. I bought it off of a friend, but you can get them from Anderson Motorsports. I installed it at the same time as the blower so it was tuned at the same time.
Gears, tires, and suspension is what it takes. There is a guy on our local club that has 23x/27x on the ground and has a picture with the front wheel barely up. No engine mods, but lots of suspension, 4.10s, and slicks.
