    You'll never reach redline in 5th gear. You could contact Road & Track and see if they have a back issue from the late 80's where they tested a LX 5.0, Formula 5.0, Boss 302, and 69 T/A. They have the speed in gears and RPM for the 2.73 fox.

    Direct replacement-yes. I just put in my rebuilt motor with CV mounts.

    I went with Maximum Motorsports lowers and FRPP uppers. There are many good ones out there, all depends on what you want to spend.

    The transmission is supported by the crossmember. The driveshaft will stay in place by the 4 u joint bolts in the rear. But it will be easier to line up the input shaft with the motor in first. Its only 4 bolts to the bellhousing as you know.

    Yea its fairly easy with the motor lifted a bit. I switched to the convertible mounts. Had to loosen the driver's side mount and force the little stud in the frame when dropping the engine back in place. Solids will be harsh if its a street driven car.

    Today I put my exhaust back together. Added the catless BBK X-pipe. Had to reposition the hangers and massage it in to place. I used two inch stainless steel bolts. 3 inchers would have made the whole process quicker. So the engine, transmission, rear axle, and exhaust are all in place...

    bad tfi or coil??

    I'd say your well over normal range for TFI life. But as long as the car doesn't cut off or having starting troubles, yours might be functioning. Coil should be fine. Did you clean your throttlebody including the plate? Check your vacuum hoses for leaks. Whats your timing set at?

    Belt Size?

    Since you are bypassing the pulley on the pump, the belt must go on another way. I used the FRPP smog pump delete kit so I can use the same belt.

    Will this work with X-pipe?

    Even if you remove the cats? Won't the computer throw a CEL without them? I hope that you are right. I used the antifouler on another car when I went to an off road downpipe without cats.

    I removed my stock H pipe. Putting on an X pipe in its place. Can I use the HELP anti-fouler plug trick with the O2's and not get a CEL? If not, what do you need to eliminate the CEL? Thanks.

    Is it a bad sign if one of the two pipes sticking out of the firewall has more free play in it than the other. I am in the process of getting my car up and running and noticed that the inner pipe moved around more than the outer when I was connecting the new hose. The heater core did not leak...
