    Is the speedo is accurate now? If so, I read that you are going FROM 3.90 rear gear TO 3.73 rear gear. I all that is so, after determining what tooth count gear is in there now, ADD one tooth.     First, find out what gear is in there now. Gears are available from Ford in 16,17,18,19,20,21 teeth. What rear gear ratio did you have, and what gear ratio did you put in? That info along with current gear tooth count will determine what speedo gear will get you the closest. :)

    Very doubtful. More likely the other way around, coolant in the oil. The oil is not pressurized anywhere near the wp bolt. Regardless, fix it as soon as you can!

    How can I find out bolt sizes?

    Sorry, I'm not familiar enough with AODs. Never owned one. Just get a tape measure and measure the bosses that the bolts pass through. I think C-4s are all the same length so AOD might be too.:shrug:

    I actually weighed both the stock '78 model iron 302 heads and the out-of-the-box {with studs & guideplates installed} Twisted Wedge heads I put on my wagon years ago. There was exactly 24 lbs. difference per head. They made my car 48 lbs. lighter and 8 tenths quicker right out of the box! :nice:
