Want to lower 08 a tad without issues.

When you drop the car the rear end will shift to one side. How much and what you are willing to tolerate is up to you, but I think that you should. If you want consistant launches and proper handling, the rear end must be properly centered.

Want to lower 08 a tad without issues.

I agree with you. I have edited my reply to state such. By all means you should get an alignment. All I was try to tell the guy was that some people have said that they didn't need an alignment after doing the drop. I firmly believe that you should get an alignment for the sake of your tires...

Want to lower 08 a tad without issues.

I didn't mention not getting an alignment for the front. I have heard some guys on the forums say that they didn't need an alignment after doing their drop. I find this hard to believe, that's why I put the plates in anyways. I haven' got mine aligned yet. I put a 1/2 a degree of adjustment...

This is true. I also installed some Steeda billet camber plates.

Want to lower 08 a tad without issues.

Stock struts and shocks are tuned to the stock suspension. When you you change your ride height and spring rate, if your shocks are not specific to those they will wear faster. I just lowered mine about 1.5" and kept the stock struts and shocks on for now. It's not vital that you change...

    Camber Bolts

I just installed the Pro-Kit, well on the front at least, and looked into the camber bolts. A couple of the local custom shops told me that they do serve the purpose but you may run into issues with the bolts shifting under certain conditions and messing up the alignment. They both suggested...

    Boost

It is my understanding that boost pressure can sometimes be a misleading number. It is easy to increase boost, but what is important is that you get the air flowing to the cylinders. If you have a restrictive intake, or an intake that is maxed out, increasing boost won't help. With an...

    Shocks and Suspension recommendations.

I'm in the process of lowering my car with the Eibach Pro-Kit. There are certain things that I thought were necessary to do this properly. On the front I got some camber plates to adjust the alignment. When you lower it, the tops of the tires come in slightly. It will corner better but may...

    Wheel Hop??

Eibach has those bladders in their drag launch springs. Don't know if they can be purchased seperately.

    Shocks and Suspension recommendations.

I've got all my suspension parts in except for the shocks. I Have been researching different setups and are actually leaning toward Bilsteins. They have a system of valving discs that automatically adjust dampening rates to the load put on the shock. They claim it's the best of both worlds...

    window problems

Two comments: The Ford TSB for the window drop down says to unhook the battery for 5 seconds before resetting the computer with the 2 second deal up and down. If the window does not pop up when the door is shut, check the door close switch. My car was doing that occasionally and I would have...

    Door jamb sticker codes

Does anyone know where I can find a decoder for my sticker codes on the driver's door jamb? Specifically what the CG means for the axel code.

    New ride need help

I'm sure the dealership can do it, but you should get a tuner anyways. With the tuner all you have to do is enter the gear ratio and tire revolutions per mile and it will adjust the speedo for you. Doing this will not change any of the other parameters on your tune.

    Won't Start (sometimes)

Battery terminals are pretty darn clean. only 10,000 miles on this car. There is no corrosion or oxidation on the terminals and they are clamped down pretty tight. I am wondering now if maybe I have a bad battery cable or a bad chassis ground connection. As long as nobody thinks it's a...

    Won't Start (sometimes)

Every once in a while, probably 2 or 3 times over the last 2 months, I turn the ignition key and the dash lights come on and then when I turn the key to start everything either flickers and clicks and the car starts, or everything goes out and the car doesn't start. When this happens nothing...

    Tires

I'm running Toyo Proxy T1R's, 255/45/18 up front and 285/40/18 in the rear. Don't know the cost, came with the car, but they they track like a slot car. I live in Vegas so I don't know how they would handle on wet roads, but in the dry they are pretty unbelievable. I'm still pushing to the...

    O2 sensors & O/R H-pipe

Thanks guys, My other question about the mid pipe is how do I get it smogged? I'v heard that you can't get a smog if the rear O2 sensors are turned off, others say that as long as the engine light isn't on it should pass. can someone clear this up for me? Should I get some cats and put them in?
