    2.1 on nitto's is pathetic...not flaming you how did you launch on nitto's? my stock GT pulls low 1.8 60's with 3.27 gears.

    just pull the whole sock over the opening like it is your foot. you might gain a tenth but half a second is really hard to believe.

    put a sock over the opening and take the headlight out. just make sure the sock is clamped down so it doesn't get sucked in. :nice:

    everyone has their own different opinion. you can't go wrong with mobil 1, amsoil, castrol, valvaline.....etc. that test looks good on paper, but in real world senerio's it won't make a BIG enough difference, at least you won't be able to tell after you pour it in. regaurdless of which brand...

    it could be detenation. try driving 35-40mph in 4th and floor it for a few seconds, if the motor is going to ping, it will under this load. if it pings, try a higher octane gas. :nice:

    stock 99+ GT's make peak HP around 5100-5200 i shift at 5800-6k, anything lower with stock gearing isn't going to help in my experience due to the high rpm torque range on these mod motors. with 4.10's you can shift lower. this is a major debate waiting to happen. i say shift at redline. :nice:

    245 would be borderline. they might be a little narrow on the rim. 275 is the next size nitto makes in a 17" i think.

    sounds like the cable might be too tight at the clutch fork. check and see how tight it is. it should have a little side to side play in it. it does not need to be rubber band tight.
