    i believe the TOB spins while the clutch is engaged. if the bearing itself is low on grease it will squeel. it should not make noise once the clutch pedal is pressed. i think i just confused myself...lol

    you don't use alot of grease and always use a straw to spray it. a "little" grease on the pressure plate won't hurt anything. if you don't lube or replace the TOB it WILL fail and that can get expensive. i've been lubing TOB in mustangs for a long time and never had any problems. the people who...

    it depends on how you drive. i've had them on all my mustangs over the years. the front end "floats" a little at high speeds and fast/sharp turns are not a good idea. if you leave the front swaybar on you will be fine. just take it easy the first few days and get used to the way the car handles...

    Dumb question for the month.......you know that little red battery light on the dash-

    the battery is either close to dead or the alt is no longer charging. the gauge on the dash is junk. test the battery with a meter. if you don't have one, take the car up to autozone or whatever auto store you have close by. they can check to see if it's just the battery or if the alt is going out.

    275 wide tires on stock 8" bullit rims.

    no problems running them out back. i wouldn't put them on an 8" rim up front.

    yeah it's a big PITA without a lift here in houston, any halfway decent exhaust shop won't even put a newer car on the rack if it has o/r exhaust...sucks man, it took me 2 weeks to find a place to weld my o/r h-pipe together on my 5.0 and he did it after hours because he's had state troopers...

    i spray my TOB everytime i change my oil. i use white lithium grease and it hasn't made a noise since the first spray at 18k miles(car now has 47k with zero noise). the problem is that the bearing slings all the factory grease out at high rpm's. just grease it every few months if it is a problem.

    i agree...they need a FAQ forum like other boards have with stickies for gears, shifters, CAI, springs...ETC. that would eliminate all these redundant posts... BTW - 3.73 with a power adder and 4.10 n/a if you think gears will make traction an issue, buy some slicks :nice:
