I almost received one of my few speeding tickets from a cop in Nebraska who was driving a '89 LX 5.0. We discussed the merits of auto vs. stick for police work. I owned a '88 LX 5.0 at the time but was driving a 4 cylinder K-car when he nabbed me doing going 70 in a 55. He showed pity on a...

Ford hasn't used vinyl on their Mustang convertibles for years. My '00 has a two layer cloth top. The new Cobra is three layers. Hopefully, the three layer will be used on all '05 models for better sound insulation.
White with a black top is probably the ugliest color combo for a vert with the top up.
Am I the only one who noticed the price of gas!!! Glad I don't live there.
I looked at a new '04 GT without the rear wing this week. Much better looking than with the wing. I also saw a '04 GT 'vert. $31,800 :( Yikes!! My '00 only listed for 2$27,995 and I didn't see anything on the '04 that I didn't have.
Arizona and Michigan are the two best areas for spotting pre-production vehicles. You gotta laugh at the "camo" on the Mustang when the car is being displayed at auto shows all over the country. I used to spend a lot of time driving the back roads of Michigan making ag sales calls and saw just...

For those who want a hood scoop, a broad Boss 429-like scoop would look good and I am sure the aftermarket will have one available. Also, look for one on future models.

Back in the early days of the 5.0 LX, the V8 package was $1500. For that you got the engine, 5-speed manual, bigger brakes, wheels, tires, and suspension. I paid $11,990 for my brand new 1988 LX hatchback. List was $12,900.
Ford is predicting 3450 for the GT and 3350 for the V6. You can probably add 100 lb. for a convertible. Ford is using a lot more aluminum in the new model to keep the weight from growing. We should see some real numbers sometime this spring.
